  1. My school does not roung either. It is also point based for each class. A- 100% - 94% B- 93% - 87% C- 86% - 80% F- 79% - 0% Anything below a C is failing...so you have to make at least an 80%.
  2. I'm waiting too. I mailed my application in on May 17th, and the deadline was last Monday (June 10th)...and the wait is killing me! The school said it could take up to 6 weeks to know if I am accepted or not. The wait is horrible! lol Good luck to you though! :)
  3. I took the HESI A2 last month and my overall score was 89.67% (which I round up to a 90% lol). It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I studied from the HESI study guide (edition 2), from quizlet.com, hesia2.org, and Test-Guide.com. I hope this helps and good luck!
  4. Wow that is a great GPA and a huge jump from 1.93 to a 3.47! I'm sure you will be accepted! Good luck. :)
  5. Hi emtbake. Yeah I am applying to Northeast State's nursing school. It's so good to see a fellow Northeast State student on here! Congrats on your good grades and HESI score. Good luck applying too! I haven't really heard anything on the ranking system. It's been about 2 years since I went to the nursing info. session, so I really don't remember what and if they said anything about the ranking. I think you have a very very very good chance and getting in and I wish you the best of luck! :)
  6. Thank you SopranoKris! I hope I get a wonderful acceptance letter too! The school said up to 6 weeks after the deadline (which is June 10). So maybe mid to late July ???? I hope they send letters out before then.
  7. I am 27 (I turn 28 in a couple of weeks) and I have an 8 (almost 9) year old son. I started my pre-reqs when I was 25 and I just applied for nursing school (currently waiting for my acceptance or rejection letter). You can do it! I think you will make a great nurse!
  8. Mandy0728, I don't think I could wait that long! I would have a nervous breakdown before then lol.
  9. KristenR, I am glad you got accepted! Thanks, I'm trying to hang in there and wait for my letter.
  10. I used the HESI Edition 2 study guide. I also studied from quizlet.com (which has a lot of info.), Test-Guide.com, and hesia2.org. I hope this helps!
  11. Ahhhh, The wait is already killing me and it has only been a week since I mailed out my nursing application!
  12. Congrats! I made a 90% overall as well.
  13. Stewartfamily2010, I hope we don't have to wait until August to find out...the wait would kill me! Good luck, I hope you make the cut.
  14. Good luck Cortney2013! Thanks nurse671 :)
  15. Kcurry, I started to study about a month before my test. The questions for the a&P portion are kind of mixed. There were some stuff from the study guide that was on the test. On my test I know there was some general terminology questions (so know anterior, inferior, etc.), there was some questions about the hormones and where they originate from. Make sure you know the bones from the axial and appendicular skeleton and the different body systems (such as the urinary system). It is really hard to study for the A&P portion of the test, because it is such a broad subject. If you have notes from your A&P class (which I didn't) or your A&P book, use them to study from. There is a lot of A&P information on quizlet.com that helped me remember stuff that I had forgot. Good luck on your test!
  16. Congratulations! :)
  17. Thanks everyone! SopranoKris, I figured that I will know if I get in sometime before mid July. The application deadline is June 10 and the school said that it can take up to 6 weeks after the deadline (may be sooner....**fingers crossed**).
  18. Thanks Manique. I am trying to get my associates degree right now, and eventually my BSN. I didn't have to take the TEAS, so I'm not sure if they are similar or not. Good luck on your test.
  19. I took my HESI A2 exam on Friday and scored an overall 89.67% (Reading and Comp., Math, A&P, Biology, Grammer, and Vocab. was on my HESI). The community college that I attend gives extra "points" if you score at least a 80% or higher on A&P (I scored a 84%), a 80% or higher overall, and 80% or higher on both. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and my school gives extra points if a student completes all of their co-req. courses before applying to the nursing program (which is for an associates degree). I have completed all of the required co-req. and pre-req. courses. I mailed my application on Friday, so the waiting game is on! There is only one school in my area that offers an associates degree in nursing (the other one is 2 hours away), so I don't have any other schools that I can apply to. Do you think I have a good chance at getting accepted? The deadline for the application is June 10 for the Fall 2013 semester and it can take up to 6 weeks after to find out who made the cut. This school is very competitive, so I hope my HESI score was high enough. Who else is playing the waiting game right now?
  20. Congrats! You are an inspiration! :)
  21. Congrats!
  22. Thank you nursestacy123!
  23. I took the Hesi A2 Entrance Exam yesterday...and I passed! My overall score was 89.67% (which I rounded up to 90%). READING COMPREHENSION: I made 90% GRAMMER: I made 90% VOCABULARY & GENERAL KNOWLEDGE: I made 94% BIOLOGY: I made 80% ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY: I made 84% MATH: I made 100% LEARNING STYLE & PERSONALITY STYLE: Not Graded My school gives extra points if a student makes at least a 80% in the A&P section, 80% on the overall score, and for make at least 80% on both. Good luck to anyone who has not taken the test yet. Remember if I can do it and pass, you can too!
