Thanks for the tips Christy24! It will be a lot of work but I'll have almost two weeks to get settled and get my goods together. I am excited and nervous about school too - I saw there is a new student orientation on 9/20 at the main campus - do you think I would get anything useful out of it, or is it geared to folks who are totally new to college?

I am registered and everything's cleared for certified. I have to move to Milwaukie from Eugene next weekend, and then I can get my supplies - books, scrubs, etc. - and hopefully squeeze in a breather before we begin! I welcome any tips on finding what I need - I'll be learning a new city as well as starting nursing school, so overwhelmed will be my middle name for a while!

The "CCC Nursing Class of 2015" I found was for Clinton Comm College in NY.

I am nearly done my requirements. The last 2 we can do before Fall are uploaded and processing now. I am looking at ordering my scrubs online from allheart.com, as well as my supplies. My mom is a BSN and she recommended Landau scrubs, so I've been looking at them.

Where is everyone buying their scrubs and what brands?

Well, I can tell you I was 42 and I took a spot a CCC instead. So one less ahead of you!

Hey, all! Now that the initial thrill has passed, I am looking at the practical matter of moving to Portland before nursing school starts in the Fall. I have a job, a husband and a geriatric dog to take into account. My workplace knows I'll be leaving when the time comes. Any suggestions on where to look for housing up there, or places to stay away from? Any help will be appreciated...

I don't know where Harpers Mom got her info but I was similarly told by PCC that unless they had a lot of their responses back from the people initially offered slots prior to the June 14th deadline, they would wait until after the deadline to start notifying alternates. I'm guessing she was was told the same thing. On another note, I got offered a slot at Clackamas today, and I think I'm going to take it! Yay!

Anyone know if Clackamas has started pulling from their wait list yet? I know the acceptance deadline was 5/24....

Yes, I did, too... So they only start calling after the June 14th deadline, unless they have received all of the acceptance/declines back early. Keep hoping!
