Did you write the CPNE? Good luck if you haven't

RN Exam Eligibility after new rules
this is awful. Were you able to get your license in time, or did the conditions that you were required to meet expire? Theres a way to petition to the CNO for special consideration. They meet once a month to consider such cases from what I have been told, although I think this is a very slim chance due to the new regulations to practice. Call the CNO and see if that would help. Perhaps applying to another province can be an option for you. Most provinces still have the 5 year rule and if your an IEN you can have your education and background assessed in such provinces. This can be a possibility that you should explore

Leaving Quebec to go to Ontario
I think it would make sense to get your registration while you are applying. If you're offered a job, you will likely lose out on the offer because you won't have current registration in the province of Ontario. Start the registration process by contacting the College of Nurses of Ontario, so that you're ready to accept any job offer. In terms of employment possibilities, it is definitely a difficult time in Ontario. I think this is something you will likely see in every province though.

NCLEX
What exactly is passpoint/prep-u? Is it helpful for licensing exam content. Sorry I used other resources during my study period, but am asking for my cousin who has gotten approval to write in British Columbia. She is an IEN and is studying daily.

What is the process to being able to work as a nurse in another province?
I'm pretty sure you have to hold a license in the province you received your education first, before you can apply for a license in another province. So if you take your schooling in Alberta, you have to be granted a license there first before you can get one in another province. This is at least how it works in Ontario, so it might be the same there

NCLEX
There will be lots of online preparation courses that are presently catering to those in the United States. I think nursing students and IEN will have lots of options. From the research I have done, it seems most of it will be the same as the US. I know that differences in Canadian nursing will be accounted for, but I think for the post part it seems we will be taking a patho/pharma based test.

Northwest Territories
Having been around the world, I think that if you have the will and the dedication, you can succeed in nursing there long term. It is best to be realistic, and really do your research so that you go in prepared. The conditions sound harsh, so good luck!!!!

CRNE to NCLEX
Both exams are very different, as I wrote the NCLEX. I would guess that they will have to account for the differences in health care and medications, but i guess that is obvious. Maybe they will get rid of the three chances and make it so that you have unlimited attempts. Thats how it was in the state that I was in.

Which is more difficult NCLEX or NLE?
I found NCLEX to be more difficult. It requires you to interpret the questions and prioritize your nursing interventions. I also wrote the CRNE last February when I went to Toronto, Canada, which again is even more tricky because it is not as patho based and heavily based on what is the best thing to say to the patient. I hope that I passed and good luck to you! God bless you in your studies!!!!!

CNO Jurisprudence Exam
Can anyone tell me how to sign up for jurisprudence? I wrote the CRNE in February and need to write Jurisprudence. Do I have to go into the CNO to write this. I searched their website but am confused, as there does not appear to be any clear information about getting a username or password
