  1. I had a patient once who would give random answers because she thought I'd leave her alone as long as she gave an answer.
  2. congratulations!! :)
  3. It can happen to anyone! Just say "Excuse me," and carry on.
  4. I'm not a nurse (yet), but this is one of the challenges I expect to come across. There are some who treat nursing as just a job, and patients are just a bed number. For those who have a little more empathy, just be the best nurse YOU can be. You can't be a superhero, but you can show a little more care. And hopefully some of your caring will rub off on your colleagues.
  5. Try taking 5 minutes everyday, just to focus on YOU. No chores, no calls, nothing but a quiet room, or even in a parked car. Close your eyes and empty your mind. (Of course emptying your mind is easier said than done, so maybe try thinking calming thoughts and just breathe.) You will get through this.
  6. I still can't find the fbook page either I thought it was just me. Anyway, I haven't received a packet yet. Looks like we're playing another round of the waiting game, but at least this time we don't have to be nervous anymore.
  7. Hi driven, did you already create a facebook page? I'm not able to find it...
  8. Hi everyone! I've been accepted for this fall's CM program too! Congratulations to everyone who has gotten "the call". I'm so excited and I look forward to meeting you all! I live in Union City, which is in between Fremont and Hayward. I like living here, but there have been more incidents lately (You can google Union City Patch to read up on it), however, I've never had any problems.
