Need encouragment for NCLEX. Graduated 10 years ago :(
JUST DO IT!!!! I graduated 16 years ago, passed last month on the 28th. I work full time and have 4 children. I found iPhone apps very helpful. NCLEX QB is great because it has a lot of SATA which I hated!! It's not easy but it is worth it! You can do it! Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com

Please don't judge....it's been 13 years since graduated RN and debating the NCLEX
One more thing, the test was very hard I thought. I just used process of elimination. I really thought I failed, called everyone and told them I did!! I cried on the way there and as soon as I walked out the door I lost it knowing I had failed. I did 101 questions and couldn't remember one question on the test, then started thinking about things and remembering some of them. I had 2 EKG questions, several med questions, a lot of priority and delegation, like 10 or 12 SATA, and 2 drag and drop, no calculations, 1 exhibit, 1 hot spot. It took me 3 hours but that was more praying than answering questions! Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com

I used my iPhone actually. The apps I used was ATI app, and NCLEX QB, I really like the QB one because it has like 250+ alternative format questions. I am not a sit down and read kind of study-er so doing the questions and reading the rationales was mainly what I did and if there was anything I needed more info on I used Saunders. NCSBN is great also and not so expensive! Main thing was a lot of prayer for concentration and focus and really wanting it BAD!!! I feel on top of the world and you guys can too!! Best of Luck to you all!!! Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com

After 16 years, I am a Registered Nurse!!! This site is full of inspirational, supportive people. I have followed many of you on your NCLEX journeys and I thank you!!! I must say, when they say you leave feeling you failed that is absolutely the truth!!! I was certain I failed but I got the good pop up!! Good luck to all who are yet to test!!! If I can do it so can you!! I have to say the apps are wonderful, they give you an opportunity to do practice questions wherever you are!! Anyway, thanks again!!! I'm getting nervous!!!
I have been studying since January pretty steady. Doing ATI, NCSBN, and Saunders! I feel pretty good about it, my scores are ranging from 65-85%, occasionally I will have a 55% but not too often. My question is, are the SATA on NCLEX as difficult as the ones in Saunders, ATI and NCSBN? They totally scare me to death! Thursday is my day and I am praying feverishly that I am exposed during my studies to the info I need to pass!! Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com

Awesome!!! That's the attitude!!! I started in October just a little, didn't study at all in November or December but have been at it regularly since January! I am a great nurse and I have never doubted that but going from the Real world to NCLEX world is hard for me but something just clicked and I started to get it. Now I am gonna need lots of prayers on the 28th. I can't wait to tell you I passed! Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com

Well I work full time and have 4 boys 13,12,11, & 4. I usually study in the evenings or weekends but with the phone apps I study anywhere. Saunders is a great book, so is the NCSBN. I think it's just a mind thing, you have to get the mindset that you CAN do it. Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com

Yes, like 3 times, but never really focused on it til now. I have been so overwhelmed because it seems so big to me. I am not a sit down and study reading material kind of learner. I have been using NCSBN, Saunders and ATI. Some advice I was given was to focus on no more than 2. I have several question apps on my phone which I find helpful. I do alot of reading rationales. My quizzes I do pretty good on, so I have been doing questions from several sites to make sure I am not just remembering. I feel the toughest part is building confidence because of past failure.
