  1. Thanks a lot! IT made a huuuuge sense. Finally I got it :)
  2. Thanks. This is priming a tubing, right? I don't get the idea - why patient should prime a line, if he is going to connect to saline lock?
  3. Hello all, I need to write a teaching plan for a patient. Topic says "Teach a patient on following nursing skill: priming a line, connecting to an intermittent diffusion device". I clarified with facilitator, that teaching should be done for a patient who is going to receive IV medications at home. I created a case study, where my client has a pneumonia and is prescribed a/b for IV administration at home. However, I don't get how does he going to prime a line if I need to flush it with saline? Any help would be veeeery desired. Thanks.
  4. Hi, I applied to Kwantlen in March last year, they gave me time for SEC somewhere in September. Due to family circumstances I postponed it after that for November. Now I need to take re-entry program. I applied to Kwantlen, but again due to family situation it will be hard for me to study full-time for year. My best option is to apply to TRU OL. Now I'm in a progress of TRU application. They mentioned that my clinical placement will be in Greater Vancouver area.
  5. Hi everyone! I came to the point that I started to give up and decided to ask for help here. Graduated almost 10 years ago, IEN, scheduled for NCLEX on May 21st. Completely forgot the content Trying to study, but it's hard when you are working full-time and have 3 kids at home. I started to study around 1 month ago, for now did 3 exams from Kaplan Q-trainer - 56%, 52% and 52%. Studying by Saunders mostly (book and CD with questions), doing Lippincott 3500, Mosby's book for Q&A and planning to take Kaplan Qbank in 20 days to finish them until my exam. What do you think? Do i have some chance of passing, if I can study objectively no more than 3 hours per day? May be I'm doing something wrong in my studies and you could give some useful hints?

I didn't get the response: what was the result of your SEC? First part, second or both for your choice?
  7. Good day, Please tell how much time you had from the date when you applied for SEC until the date they scheduled you for it? Do you choose the day by yourself or they send you it?
