  1. Class starts August 15th! Clinicals start mid-Sept. !!
  2. I got accepted to start Fall '13. My overall TEAS score was 92%, math was 100% and reading was 97%. I had all pre-reqs finished except my humanities elective (which doesn't need to be completed til the 3rd semester of the nursing program) Good luck!
  3. I also bought the Timberland PRO Renova and I love them! I wore them a few times just to get a feel for them (don't start until August) and they feel very comfy! I found the best prices on Amazon and most offered free shipping and even free shipping if you need to return/exchange them.
  4. I need to do this too!! I have about 40 pounds to lose and I start in August! I feel like an old person some days (I'm 30) and I'm terrified I won't be able to put up with the physical demands of clinicals (they start in Sept) I already upped my water intake but I really need to lose weight. I'm about to start yoga and pilates to try to build up core strength, and then try to add in cardio and strength training.
  5. Congrats! Micro was my favorite class! I took it after taking both A&Ps and I also took a basic Biology and Chemistry class to refresh myself for the TEAS (I had been out of highschool for over 12 years) and I think they all helped me do well in Micro (and on the TEAS)
  6. Hi everyone! I'll be starting ADN on August 15th and I'm SO excited!! I already had orientation and I've done everything to get ready (immunizations, titers, physical, background check, FBI fingerprinting, drug test, already had CNA and CPR) All that already cost about $500. Our books are over $1000 at bookstore but around $700 if I purchase online. We will wear white tops and black bottoms. I got Timberland Renova shoes which feel pretty awesome and (I think) look better than Danskos & the like. I have 3 children but they are all in school (ages 17, 13 and 6) so that helps a lot. I do not work and I have a VERY supportive husband who happens to have a fairly flexible job that allows him to work from home in emergency. I got a Littman's stethoscope (purple:D) and we had to get pen lights, hemostats and bandage scissors. Our book list is pretty bulky up front but will last the whole 2 years. ETA: I pretty certain I want to do Labor & delivery.
  7. Thank you for this list...I love it!!
