  1. Uworld!!! Awesome explainations.
  2. I failed with hurst and kaplan, but passed with Uworld. Uworld has very difficult level question and allow you to think at a higher level. It helps to study with someone else to help you think differently. Also, I used to think having a lot of SATA question means you're doing good. Not with my case this time as I passed. I passed with 165 questions and had only 10 SATA. Keep at it and don't give up.
  3. Congratulations!!
  4. Where can I get this 35 pages review?
  5. UND passing is 74%, which is a C
  6. Any chance of moving to another states? Midwest are hiring lots of new grads. You can get couple years of experience and move back.
  7. I am from ND in Grand Fork. St. Alexius sounds nice with 3:1 patient ratio, but they pay a little higher here. Tough decision to make
  8. I just got an offer from St. Alexus. I have couple other offers too. How do you like it there at St. Alexius?
  9. Thank you Denise. This helps a lot. It's my first time applying. Got my first rejection from Sanford. I was disappointed but will continue to hunt.
  10. Hello All, I will be graduating this coming May with a BSN from the University of North Dakota and will be moving to Aberdeen SD because of family. I interviewed with Sanford for a med/surg position about a week ago but no word from them yet. It seems like there is no other RN positions available from either Sanford or Avera other than OB. Is there any other prospect or recommendations? Please share. Thanks in advace
  11. Thank you all for you reply and inputs, really appreciate it. I left a high paying job to become a nurse because I like working and caring for others. It is unfortunate that I ran into this on my first real experience working. But it was an awesome experience and i found out LTC is not my thing. My contract ends with the facility at the end of this month so I am not even sure if I should bring it up with management. He is known to be an "ass" for the nurses here but he does not like me i particular as i've talked to him about why he was refusing his meds. You're right about not changing his mind at this age. I will keep an open mind and positive attitude. Thanks again.
  12. I am a student nurse and coop in LTC. I have a resident who is alert and oriented x4 whom refused to take his meds when i give it to him just because I have different color skin. I work in a small town btw. One time he told me "to get the F$&@ out, i don't want it from you". I can always ask another nurse to give it to him, but i don't want to keep doing that. I am wondering if it is ethical to hold his meds and insulin if he refuses again? Please help Thanks
