  1. Hi ladies, I am halfway through my program at Maryville. I am in the FNP program. How are you all doing in the classes?
  2. Some negative things have been posted but I can only speak from my own perspective. The program is moderate and doable for us who work as the classes and pace are structured so that you do not feel overwhelmed. I have only had to take two classes during one of my semesters and I passed both. The content and material are equivalent to the FNP standard so you can learn what you need to pass the exam when you graduate without a lot of fluff. There are a few professors who are in the doctoral Nursing program and seem a little disorganized at times but I got past that. Two in particular! I commented on the end of term feedback that they get it together. All the others were great and made themselves available to the students. I had no trouble locating preceptors and so I can say if you live in Florida I can help you find some easily. I did not have any problem with any classes and I think if you approach school seriously and devote the time to prepare for classes you will succeed. Good luck.
  3. Hi Ladies, I am already halfway through my FNP program OMG! How is everyone doing? Let me know how its going I look forward to hearing from you.
  4. I didnt get in to UFL but I got in to 3 other programs including FSU. I decided to go to Maryville because the schedule worked for me and I needed to be able to work as well.
  5. I had a reasonable amount of papers for my first 5 classes. It is mangeable. Did you get in?
  6. How are you doing in the program? I am starting my second year in September.
  7. Hi there, anyone from Jacksonville Florida attending g the online FNP program? If yes. Any luck finding preceptorship. Does maryville help set up the agreement?
  8. So nothing from ufl so I guess I didn't get in but I got accepted at two other places.congrats to everyone! :)
  9. Thank you . I applied to 2 other places as well and got into 1 but I wanted to see if I could do my DNP since the program I got in is a msn
  10. No I did not hear anything but I will see if I get a letter by this Friday. If I get nothing them I will assume the worst.
  11. Yay for everyone who got in I'm still waiting. Nothing yet ;(
  12. Hi from Jacksonville Florida. At my hospital new grads make $20-22 per hour. The $22 is usually is specialty areas.
  13. Ok I will post here if I get anything by this week.
  14. I was told letters will be sent this week. Dies it mean you didn't get in if there was not letter received?I didn't get anything and I checked daily. Maybe something will be here next week. So what color envelope delivers the good news and which one delivers the not so good news?
  15. @nursebugg I worked at memorial years ago when I lived in Hollywood. I live in Jacksonville now.
  16. Ok thanks a lot fir the advise
  17. That's great Jennrn914 it helps to have experience in the area that you choose to pursue a graduate degree in.
  18. I agree. I hate peer review because in my hospital I last worked it turned into a witch hunt for people who didnt like each other. I believe the patient should be given evaluations and if the unit/department has a problem it may be time to do some inservice. If it is a personall issue such as call ins, showing up late then its the superviser's responsibility to address these issues.
  19. Yes I got mail through UF mail but still no word on if I'm accepted
  20. I hope they are not toying with me in this vulnerable state. I hope after doing this physical it will put me one step closer to hearing good news. I'm nervous and a little excited at the same time.
  21. I got the request from health services in my email so I am sending the physical on their form. Don't be nervous I haven't got a letter as ye saying if I'm accepted. I'm waiting with abated breath. I hope we all get accepted.
  22. @rachellee did you send everything in ? They are accepting people until 5/31 :-)
