  1. Anyone know of reputable residencies for Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NPs? It seems like the majority of residencies out there are for FNPs or acute care NPs...the only one I seem to keep coming across is the residency at the VA.
  2. Does anyone still have transcripts that are 'pending or 'not received' yet by Duke? I know they said it may take awhile to process, but I sent mine in at least a month ago.
  3. @GatorBait52, yes I did submit my app before my recommendations were submitted...it's totally fine.
  4. Hi all, I'm also applying to Duke's ABSN program for fall 2016. If we apply by the December 1 deadline, when can we except to hear back from them?
  5. How long did it take everyone to get verified on NursingCAS? I submitted my application over a week ago and am still waiting for verification.
  6. Hello, I'll be applying for the ABSN/MSN program as well and just noticed Emory's new application process with the first priority deadline being Oct 16th. Does this mean the application process is now rolling?
  7. Hi - I'm planning on taking Microbiology this fall. What was the format of the class like at NMJC? Were the exams proctored online?
  8. @hopefulRN'17 Great! Unfortunately I cannot PM people on here yet. The best way to get in contact with me would be via email - which is the same my username but @gmail.com
  9. Thanks everyone. Does anyone have any old study materials that they would be willing to give me?
  10. Thanks everyone! @knlake - which professor did you have last summer?
  11. Hi all, I'll be taking Anatomy & Physiology I and II at Quincy College during summer session 1 and 2. I'll be working full time as well and wanted to see if anyone had any advice for me. Has anyone taken A & P at QC before?
  12. JaeKayDee - I'm taking A&P I and II this summer in Boston. Where did you take your class? I will also be working full time and am worried about managing it all.
  13. Has anyone here taken summer A & P at QC? I'm planning on taking it this summer and wondering what people thought of the workload.
  14. @elana4 - Congrats on Regis! I'm interested in applying to Regis and Northeastern next year. Do you mind sharing your stats?
  15. Also interested in Direct Entry programs. I have a BA in Public Health & Spanish. I'm in need of some advice. Please direct message me.
  16. Hi all - I was wondering if you all could give me some advice. My ultimate goal is to be a NP and I will apply to Direct Entry programs this fall. I am graduating from undergrad in May 2014 with a degree in Public Health. I have experience studying healthcare abroad, I've interned for a public health organization for the past year, and plan to shadow a NP this fall. Currently I have a 3.4GPA. I am still working on finishing the prerequisites - I will be taking Statistics in the fall and will most likely take A&P and Microbiology in the summer of 2014 (I don't have room in my schedule to take them in the Spring). I'm planning on applying to Direct Entry programs at Northeastern, Columbia, Vanderbilt, Emory, MGH Institute, Pace, and Marquette. Do you all think that my lack of prerequisites completed will hinder my application? Is it worth it to give it a try and apply this year? Any advice is appreciated - there is no nursing program at my college and my pre-health advisor has very little knowledge on direct entry nursing programs, so I am pretty much all alone here.

  18. I'm looking in the Tampa, FL area and can also consider West Palm Beach area as well.
  19. Ok. Thanks for your advice. If I do end up not taking Anatomy & Physiology online, do you all know of any college/universities that start summer classes in late June or early July? I'm specifically looking in the northeast (MA or NY) or some areas in FL.
  20. I'm currently an undergraduate earning a degree in a non-nursing field and would like to apply to direct entry programs in the Fall of 2013. I'm trying to complete the pre-requisites before I graduate from undergrad. I would like to take Anatomy & Physiology with lab this summer, but I have a scheduling conflict since I will be out of the country until June 20. Does anyone know of any good places to take online Anatomy & Physiology that would fit with my schedule? Any help would be appreciated!
