  1. Welcome Mari! Join our Facebook group "University of Scranton CRNA Class of 2019"
  2. Sorry to hear, sailorboy17! Did they call you or send you a letter? Is there a wait list?
  3. Keep us in the loop! Hopefully we will see you this August!
  4. I would go with your gut! It was such an easy decision for me to confirm my spot at Scranton. It seems like a very well organized and supportive program that produces safe and competent CRNAS. I officially made my deposit as well and can't wait to start this fall!
  5. sailorboy17 and Basia1, Please do not worry! They will be sending out the rest of the decisions within the next 2 weeks. Be patient and trust the process! I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you guys and please feel free to ask whatever questions.
  6. Interviewed yesterday, got accepted today! Can't wait to meet everyone and to start at Scranton. Such an amazing program and faculty!
  7. How long did it take for them to get back to you for an interview? Recently submitted my application 2 days before the due date. According to their webinar, they really emphasized on recent Chemistry courses.
  8. Called them and they said all interview offers have been sent. They had 200+ applicants this year and are only interviewing 60 for 30-35 spots. If you didn't get a call then you are more than likely to be rejected.
  9. I work in a CTICU and I would definitely check "Cardiac Surgery Essential" Its a fantastic book.
  10. Planning to throw my hat in the ring as well.
  11. " I am very informed on the CRNA application process, requirements, and competitiveness" Since you are very informed on the application process, requirements, and competitiveness you should probably get your CCRN, GRE and shadowing hours all completed first. During that time, moving up to a Level 1 trauma center would obviously make you a more competitive applicant....but then again you're already informed...right??
  12. How did you like the NCSBN prep?
  13. Cville is amazing!
  14. Congrats and thanks for the tips!
  15. Congrats, Rachael! I too am in the same boat in terms of jobs. I got hired and it all depends on me passing my boards as well, so I'm very very nervous! Do you mind PM'ing me the 2 study guides? If not email it to me at [email protected]. I'm doing the Qbank's right now, and just ordered the PDA LaChairty book. I currently have the Exam Cram-RN book right now through my library and haven't looked at it yet since I'm working on the Qbanks. Congrats again!
  16. I'm a senior (traditional) at WJU and will be graduating this May. Send me a message and I would be happy to answer any questions!
  17. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I hope to get into this program after I graduate this may. Do you mind me asking how much do the pay for new grads at WHC?
  18. Thank you!
  19. Hey everyone, I will be graduating this May with a BSN and I will start my precepting in March. Right now, the clinical coordinator is assigning preceptors for us seniors graduating in May. I was just wondering how much does the preceptorship weigh on job placement (in certain units) after graduating, or just landing a job in general? Thanks, Brian
  20. First off, what does DH and COL stand for? Lets start there first...
  21. Thanks for the info! Anyone have experience with INOVA's externship program?
  22. Take as many opportunities as possible. For example, always be down to observe labor and delivery.
  23. I too would like to know more about this...anyone wanna chime in?
