Is anyone near or in the path of Katrina?
I live 15 minutes from new orleans. I stayed to ride out the hurricane in my house. We hardly had any damage thank God! It is just so sad hearing all the stories of people who didn't make it. Our hosital is one of 4 open in the metro area and it is crazy.

new orleans nursing students
I go to LSUSON and our school is under water. There is talk of us moving to baton rouge. there is nothng definite yet the faculity is having another meetin on sept. 7 and there could be some new developments. I hope they provide housing. Do you know of any houses for rent? I know y'all are getting people from new orleans who are going to make baton rouge their temporary home and I worried about housing. Thanks :) Jen

Thanks to everyone for all their prayers. I live about 15 minutes from new orleans and I road out the storm in my house. I was very lucky and blessed that nothing happend to me or my family. Our house was not destroyed only our fence was knocked down. My school is in the city and it is under water. they are trying to move us to baton rouge to finish the semester or year, depending how long it takes to fix the building. I'm lucky I only lost some school time but others lost their life

How much money should I save?
Hi everyone, I am a American nursing student and I want to work in london after I graduate. I wanted to save about $60,000-$70,000 before I moved there. This would be in addition to my salary in the UK. Will this be enough money? I have looked into apartments or flats and they tend to run aroud $1500-$2000/month. Should I get a roomate or can I live alone? thanks for any advice Jen

Do nurses need malpractice insurance?
Yes many lawsuits happen. but when you sue you must sue evertone who was envoled in the persons care including the nurse even if they were not responsible for the mistake or negligence
