  1. I had a peg tube this week that was so occluded with jevity it took me a good 4-5 mins to get it milked and unclogged. Omg. I don't know why, but the smell of the old feed and picking the pieces out of the Lopez valve just made me wanna up chuck like never before! Just, ugh!! Mucus-y diarrhea gets me too. Just the mucus part. And foley bags. Nothing is worse then stale urine. Blegh.
  2. Our class started with 63 students. We started level 2 last week and we are down to 32. 8 months left.
  3. Our school has you wear your scrub uniforms as soon as the order comes in for both lecture and clinicals. No leeway at all. In fact, our program supervisor has been know to send people home for being with out pair of our scrubs on. :x
  4. We have this....teal color. I don't know. I've never seen another school with bright teal as their scrub choice. Our school patches are embroidered on by a well known catholic school uniform supply company in Philadelphia so we shelled out a bit for unisex cherokee scrubs with a pretty little custom patch. Most of the girls have no shape in them due to the unisex cut, but at least they chose a style that had a lot of pockets.
  5. Friends hospital has a position open for RN on their careers web page.
  6. Thank you for all the tips! I would love to get a tape recorder but they are against the programs rules. PA is weird with that. Luckily I am a pretty decent note taker and I'll make flash cards out the wazoo. We had a two day orientation and this up coming Monday we will dive right into basic nursing skills in the lab. I'm excited! Also, I just found out that the PA board of Nursing has changed the LPN scope of practice to include IV therapy. More clock hours!! Well, wish me luck!
  7. I'm so excited and nervous about my program starting on Monday march 11th! Any tips on how to get started on the right foot?
  8. Kelsey (furbabies only) LPN PITC -Glenside PA Start March 2013 12 month full time program Graduate March-April 2014 I'm nervous but very excited to start. I'm sure my tune might be different in a few months
