PEOPLE, focus! This is not English 101. This guy just wants us to show him the light. I don't have to judge u. What happened happened. Getting back to your question, here are my thought. Here are the possibilities: Resign Get fired Stay :: it is better to resign than to get fired. But it is better to stay at this time as work openings are rare. :: u can always sense if they are getting u fired because they will not listen to u. Before he will do this, resign. Bring a letter with u at all times. Dont put the date. Lol :: but when u resign, thank them and be apologetic and admit your faults and what plans u have. Nonetheless do this: Look for jobs elsewhere and get a reference from someone who will not judge u for the thing u did but the quality and effective nursing care u always do. The best thing u can do is to talk to the HR first. Ask her the best move u can make. Do not let her dwell into talking about the thing that had happened but tell her that u have learned from what had happened and you are moving forward and would want to have good opportunities with your career be it in the company or elsewhere. At the moment, they are being understanding with foreign nurses' situation because of retro. During my time 2008, they allowed me to apply to take the exam without SSN. Now, they don't. :-)

Yes i did everything. Filling application forms, fees, fingerprinting/live scan.

Hospitals are not the only venue for nurses. Try facilities, etc. good luck!

Well, u just have to write the numbers. Im not sure about changing names. But i did write the numbers and sent them a copy of my ss card too. It worked as i got my license.

hey hi.. what do u mean by you are still waiting for your SSN? when u applied for SSN at the Social security administration office, u can get by mail in a week. they can even give u a temporary copy of it in 2-3 days. i waited for about 2 weeks to get my license.

To ALL: the CA BRN issued my RN license. there is still hope to those on same boat as me!!.

Hi to all! I passed the nclex last 2008. I just got my SSN last month as an employer based immigrant. Just a week ago, I submitted my Completed Application for Licensure by Examination including a U.S. social security number as instructed by the CA BON. My school also forwarded the needed documents. My questions are: Has someone gone through the same thing as I am? What happened? Did they release your license or not? If yes: How long did you wait for your license? If not: What did they say? Can you send me a copy? Did they make you do further studies? --As i have said, I am on employment based petition, so with this, my employer is waiting for my license. With this, my life is on hold. I hope to be enlightened with this. Thank you so much.

hi ma'am, i have the same issue.. i passed the nclex 2008. i came here a few months ago. i just had my ssn last month and did my APPLICATION TO TAKE EXAM and went through the whoke thing just last week. if i may know, how long did the CA BON gave released her license? i am very much afraid of the concurrency issue because my employer is waiting for me to get my license so i can start working for them. thank u so much!
