  1. I don't think St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismark ND is a teaching hospital but correct me if i'm wrong.
  2. Does anyone know if St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismark North dakota is a teaching hospital?
  3. So did you ever end up moving to North Dakota for a job at teaching hospital?
  4. So did you finally find a job!??
  5. I agree with you! the job Market for RN new grad in IL is freakin awful horrible!! I too was afford a job in different state. I prefer not to move but in this economy I think I might just have to suck it up and go. -_-
  6. Say I moved form ILLINOIS (my permanent residence) to texas where I got license endorsement. Say now that I live in TX I want to make it my permanent residence so I can take advantage of the compact state deal. How do I go about doing this when my IL license is still active? How do I go about changing where my permanent residence is? from IL to TX and where and who do I contact to make these changes? Thanks for the help in advance!
  7. Downstate? like where? give me couple of names.
  8. IL, TX, IOWA, WI, anywhere where they will hire me! hehe. I'm looking for those rural areas..you know where no one wants to live. So maybe the chances of me getting hired there would be more likely. LOL. I was thinking of applying license by endorsement in those other states but I figure why go through the $200 or without a job offer first. The economy is so bad. Why would they think you are not serious! right? How long did it take you to get your license in those other states? Was it a complicated process?
  9. RIGHT! I am also confused about this whole "New Grad RN program" that hospitals have. My question is do I need to be in a "New Grad program" in order to get hired into the hospital as a new graduate nurse? or can I still apply to any opens positions on the hospital floor and they will just orientate me as a new grad without having to be in a "New Grad program"? Someone please help! I'm so confused on going about how to apply for my first nursing job and the nursing recruiters and human resources are so unhelpful!
  10. Any Luck when you applied for positions in other states? and also wondering how did you go about getting license in the states you were offered RN position? how did you go about applying for these jobs? did you wait till you were offered a position in other states before applying for licensure in that sate? I've been applying to different states as well because job market in Chicagoland area sucks! but is clueless on how I should go about doing this correctly. HELP! would be appreciated. Thanks!
  11. Congratulations! This gives great hope to us still looking. You are awesome! good work! If it's not too much trouble, could you please PM me your letter as well. Thank you!
  12. Hi, I just took my nursing RNClEX boards on August 5th and I swear i got all 265 questions and the last one I know I got wrong for sure. Also, did the Pearsonvue trick and got a good pop-up. Did quick results today and I PASS!! WOHOOOO! So yeah, I don't think it matters if you got the last questions wrong or right. Goodluck all!
  13. Seriously, I will take a nursing instructors who just makes me feel stupid or incompetent over a nursing instructor who intentionally throws my patients medication away before I have to give it on purpose to see if I would catch this. THIS IS A HUGE ERROR. and in my program you can get kicked out for med errors. Is this even legal? can nursing instructors toss away students medication purposely? I have 11 more weeks left of this program and I am afraid of going to clinicals im afraid she will do this again and I won't catch it this time.
  14. What if the program is like a cult and most of the students including myself feel like they can't go to the dean because he/she will not do anything about it. Nor do i feel like i can go to the theory instructors. I've had one clinical instructor toss one of my medication in the garbage on purpose to see if I would catch it. I have not gone to the dean about this because I feel like nothing good will come out of it ..if anything they will think I am trying to "rock the boat" and get rid of me faster. I am frustrated. I feel hopeless and I really don't know what to do. My program is really bad. If one clinical instructors dislikes you for whatever reason they will try to get rid of you through clinical in some way. This is not fair and i don't know what to do about this to help myself not be a victim.
