May I just ask. What is the minimum hospital experience does a hospital in NY needs for u to be hired? Do u have to be currently employed, if you are planning to transfer from other hospital?In my case I have 4 yrs hosp. experience but I resigned last Januray 2010 and I wanted to go back to a hosp. again. But I already worked in a hospital for 4 years but I resigned last year so, I am searching for a new hospital again because I needed to be currently employed or atleast have a continuous hospital nursing experience like trainings,for me to work abroad next year. Where else did you applied for a job?

The training in Madocs is only 3 months. I heard that they require a GWA or the class ranking in St.lukes qc. BTW, are you newly board passer,are u also looking for a job?

Hi Ar-ren, I went there and submitted all the requirements except for the cxr, they said that they will only ask you to give a cxr result and the 6k fee if you have been chosen for the training.Actually I already have my cxr which was done just last month, I am also planning to apply for training in Lung Center,they also require a cxr. You can just go there directly at the Nursing office, dont forget the letter to the nursing director with your signature in it. Gudluck. :)

May I know if there are Filipino USRN's here in the Phils. who were currently waiting for their EB3 visa,but not working in a hospital. I have a pending US EB3 petition or the Immigrant visa for Skilled Workers,(January 2007 I just am ust worried that when my PD becomes current and my hospital in the US found out that I am no longer working as a nurse here in our country, they might not give me the job offer anymore. I applied through an agency here in the Phils. year 2005 and got a hospital job offer from USA, but back then I was currently working in a hospital. I had a 4 yrs hospital exp. Sept 2005- Jan 2010, since then, I never had a hospital experiences. May I ask if someone has the same situation as mine and what do you think is the best thing to do, it is really difficult to be hired in a hospital now due to large numbers of applicants competing for job vacancies. Going abroad like Singapore or Mdle East for work too is a great risk because the processing is long and the movement of the EB3 is unpredictable, my PD might be current then when I arrived to some countries to work as a nurse. Hello, I submitted my resume at SLMC GC last week. I just wanted to ask if incase I got the chance to be included in PGNT or paid training, what are the requirements that I needed to submit? Am I required to submit a GWA and Class ranking?because I have backread and saw that those requirements are under the req. when you apply in SLMC QC, how about in GC are they still requiring it? and Lastly, is there somebody here who are already a USRN,did you still put it on your resume? I am just curious on how the hospital look at it,because maybe if they found out that you are already a passer of NCLEX or CGFNS they would just ignore your applications due to plans on going abroad. Hi, I also took their test last month but unfortunately I got only 70% but they said that I could still retake the test. My only problem is that my IVT license was already expired so I have to renew it first.May I ask if you have a 2-3 years previous hospital experience and what kind of exam that you took,was it IQ test or Nursing board exam kind of test? Hi to all, I am new here. I just want to ask if when you successfully finished the 1 month training, are you going to be given a certificate of training? After that 1 month of training what happens next, can we still proceed to another months of training? Do we still have to take another exam and interview again for the next new training? Thanks
