This is a tough decision. I would say to put your deposit down with UMass and then apply to USF in May. I'm assuming USF's program starts in August, so the deposit at UMass is so you have a backup school.

OMG! I am so sorry. I completely read your initial post wrong. If you can afford to put down the deposit to UMASS I would. Have you applied to any other schools or is it only UMASS or USF?
