Order Ancef 200 mg IV q 4h for a child weighing 22 lbs. a. The recommended dose is 80 – 160 mg / kg / day b. Is the dose safe? __ yes _______ c. Ancef is provided as 1 g in 10 mL d. How many mL would you draw up? ______ 2 mL ______ e. You are to add the Ancef to 10 mL of IV fluid and infuse over ½ hour. f. How fast would you set the IVAC at? _________60 mL / hr _____ Why 60mL per hour? 17. Order: Gentamicin 8 mg / kg /day q6h for a child weighing 72 lb. a. Give ____65 mg/ dose ______ mg per dose. b. Gentamicin is provided as 80 mg / 2 mL. c. How many mL would you draw up/ ______1.62 or 1.6 mL _______ d. The Gentamicin is to be added to 15 mL of IV fluid and infused over 60 minutes. e. How fast would you set the IVAC? _______35 mL per hour________________ why 35ml per hour? Thank you!!!   11. I took mine at Pensacola State on November 18 Reading Comprehension - 96% Grammar - 84% Vocabulary/General Knowledge - 92% Anatomy and Physiology - 88% Math - 92% Overall - 90%
  12. Just finished AP1 on April 30th. My AP2 starts May 13. It's a 12 week course. Say a prayer!
  13. You should definitely memorize the origins/insertions - I just took my muscle practical last night and it was horrific. I wish I had started studying a lot sooner. I passed with an 82 - class average was a 62.
  14. I am taking AP2 this summer and studying for the HESI exam
  15. Made a 100 on my first practical... am a happy camper
