Well, i decided to take a remedial that they are reccomending, i may start this week and hopefully it wont take forever. thanks for the advice

I applied for the CES and after a long time it arrived at the Florida BON and my copy of the report on the part for the nursing education statedcomparable to to BSN program in us, however the people at the BON then reviewed it and told me that i had not completed enough hours for medsurg theory and that my clinical hours are not enough, then they went on to tell me that they are going to be sending me remedial courses that i can take and then be able to take the NCLEX, can anyone tell me what the remedial courses entail, do i have to look for a school to complete them.One other thing is that i have a CGFNS certificate, will it be easier for me if i only moved to a state the certificate instead of a CES report. Please help me i am confused......

When i applied to CGFNS they already had the gerontology in there i did not do it so it was left blank for me but i was a was approved, so i dont think it is that important....good luck

Thanks for the response Tina, i guess i will just wait for them then, my CES was submitted last week after it took almost 3 months for me to get it from Cgfns , so i just thought that they were slow,Plus i had already taken a long time going over the CP only to realise that i did not need that for Florida BON.hopefully i will get lucky.....

Thanks suzanne4 for the quick response, one more question is it going to be easy for me to endorse to florida, the thing is i have already applied in florida but it looks like they take quite some time to approve one to take the exam.

Hi everyone please help me out by telling me of the Board of nursing's that you are using and how long ti took fr you to get the ATT after submitting everything thats required.i have both CGFNS certificate and CES report and i have an AED i am just looking for a faster BON so that i can take the NCLEX.

I have taken the CGfNS, i have not taken the NCLEX yet, but just based on studying for both of them i have to agree that NCLEX is much better.......

Suzanne is right you need to have it Translated into english, and then you can submit it youself, i applied the only one that i had the school send to the CGFNS was the nursing School education,as for the high school diploma i mailed it myself and i was approved.Good luck...

I really feel for you, I know exacly what you mean because i took the CGFNS on wednesday and i came out feeling the same way, i felt like they had asked most of the stuff that i did not read about.Some disorders i had not even heared off. I have not even recovered from that day yet, 2 days later i still feel drained and tired, i hope you made it though, just take a deep breath and dont make this one time make you lose you faith, if you dont make try and try again.

Please do that for me i think it will be helpful, i think one of the problems is that i am not familiar with the ones that they like asking about and therefore and therefore i have been reading about lots of the, i think narrowing down to 100 would be helpful, i will be anline the whole time so i will send you an IM. Well i have always had problems with Pharmacology i am unable to really learn all the side effects. By the way itys good to have you back suzanne, i hope you had a good time and well deserved rest.

I really need some help right now, i am taking the CGFNS next week and no matter how much i study everytime that i take one of the tests that they sent to me i get sixty something percent. I would really appreciate if people who have taken the exam would help me on some strategies to improve .

I have not had problems paying online, my account immediately shows that i have paid as soon as pay, i suggest that you call them eventhough you have to be on the phone for a long time before you get some help and then ask them.As for response to the emails dont wait on those, everytime i email them it takes about 2 months for them to respond and when they do its at a time when i have forgotten that i ever emailed.

Hi Suzanne, The only reason why i am taking the CGFNS is that i had already been rostered for it because i did not appy for the CES right away, so i am thinking why not just take it and get done with it in the mean time.Thanks for the advice though. good day

Thanks Suzanne you have been very helpful it really helped me now all i have to do is pass the NCLEX-RN when the ATT comes, By the way i am taking the CGFNS next month. My EAD is spousal.

I was not sponsored by a hospital or agency, I had a different type of sponsorship any way thanks very much i managed to look up the information and found out that i can work on a AED.

Hi Suzanne, Faby and everyone thanks for the response, actually i am on the EAD (I-765) that is subject to renewal until i go for the interview for the green card, so i was just wondering if it can be used to work as a nurse.

I also once considered using the aldatech they appear to be good to me too, but if they help you take the NCLEX and you want to do the process on your own from there then you have to pay them back $2000 plus otherwise then you sign a contract for 18 months. Anyway i decided to do things on my own with the help of your wonderful threads from this website and i think i am doing fine.I am happy for you though Faby

Hi suzanne and everyone, if i already have a work permit, do i need to wait for the visa screen in order to start working once i get my licensure form the BON, or should i just g ahead and start working then file to change to a green card in the process?

Hi Faby , i am using the same marterial that you used for CGFNS and i am taking it next month, is there anything that you found deficient in the two books, if so please let me know if you think there are other marterials that i can use. What percentage does one need in order to pass the Exam? thank you
