Immigration Requirements for Australia and New Zealand
Hello fellow nurses! Does anyone know if ANMAC considers being a volunteer as valid nursing experience as obviously no pays lips/tax contribution could be given as evidence? I'm trying to explore my options post BP. Thanks heaps! í ½í¸Š

Bridging Program in Australia
I have the same question. I'll be for July intake in Perth. I'm not entirely sure which is more practical, taking the IHNA accommodation or renting a place near the campus. Have you made arrangements with them already?

There is a toll free contact number in their website. Try calling that and request to be connected to your specific branch or to your officer.

Bridging Program in Australia
Hello all! Does anyone know if it is possible for me to get a copy of my immigration medical results to comply with the bridging school's immunization and serology requirement? I'm hoping to save some bucks by not doing double serologies. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks so much! :)

Bridging Program in Australia
Hi! I'm for the July intake with IHNA Perth. They didn't interview me. After complying with the documents and filling up an online application in the student portal, they will send you an offer letter and invoice. This is when you could pay the downpayment. Only when they confirm that they received the downpayment will you secure a slot. I call them every now and then after each step just to follow up. :)

How long have you been waiting for IHNA's confirmation? If you have been waiting for a while, try to give them a call. Slots are filling up quite fast. I almost got moved to a later intake eventhough my friend and I paid the downpayment just a day apart. The staff are very accommodating. You're welcome. I wish you good luck too! :)

The application checklist says to provide a bank statement covering at least the last month. My friend used her tuition fee (11450AUD) minus the downpayment (1500AUD) as evidence of funds, and got approved with no problem. So around 9950AUD. I'm doing the same, but i'm yet to lodge my visa. I hope this helps.

Thank you for this! I'm just waiting for my employer's decision regarding my leave request, then I'd be able to lodge the visa application. Are you leaving immediately after the course ends, or will you allot a few days to sort out the documentation to re-apply with AHPRA? I'm quite anxious as to how long i should request for leave. My employer is not very keen to grant me a very long one.

Tuition fee is in the 12k aud. She paid the downpayment to the school already so she was able to secure her slot. The remaining amount, she used as financial evidence.

My friend used her tuition fee as financial evidence when she applied for such visa. Probably about 12k AUD? She got approved with no problem.

Yeah I hope so too. It took about 3 weeks for PRC to process everything. Then probably a week to reach OZ. They usually email you if the document is ready for mailing. This was how the email went: "We would like to inform you that your LICENSE VERIFICATION/CERTIFICATION request is ready for mailing. You are requested to go directly at any courier of your choice (Ex. DHL, FedEx, etc.), submit the claimstub with your name and pay the mailing fee. The courier staff will be the one to pick- up the document from our office." You may call them to follow-up. I hope you get yours soon.

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
Hello everyone! I'm glad to be active here again. Since i've been a member of allnurses in 2012, I've finally pushed through with the application process with AHPRA! Its nice to know that there are updated information regarding the process here. :) Does anybody know if its okay to send AGOS-40 later than the certificate of good standing from PRC? I didn't realize PRC was very quick in processing my certificate. The tracking shows my PRC cert has arrived in Melbourne, but I still am to send my AGOS-40 on Wednesday. Thanks in advance!

I wanna know this too! There was only 1.6 point difference from my score and the top 10's. Yes, by knowing how, i'd make myself and my family even more happy and proud. haha! I took the July 2012 NLE by the way.

June: 85, 79, 81, 83, 83= 82.2% I am very satisfied with my rating. It was more that I could ever ask for! It is really overwhelming to know that I almost made it to top 10. To God be the glory! Cheers! Very good rating! Congrats, colleague :))

Questions about being a newly registered nurse?
Hello everyone! I have recently passed the July 2012 NLE. yey! :) I have not registered at PRC yet. Is it possible for me to train for IVT, BLS etc even if i have not been registered yet? Could a printout copy of my NLE rating suffice? Thank you very much!

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
Hi! That's great! At least you've already taken the first step. Before you lodge your application to AHPRA, how many months of hospital experience do you plan to acquire first? I am really having second thoughts on whether to start the process right away (even with zero experience) or to gain experience first. By doing the former, i'll be slimming my chances of getting into a bp school and being employed after. Also, i feel that being too young and clinically incompetent may pose more problems in the future. I don't want to waste my mother's hard-earned money. I'll be risking too much. On the other hand, if i wait for perhaps 1-2 years, i may have become more clinically competent but all vacancies have all been filled up already, costs will be more expensive (i've read that the tf's are drastically increasing each year. Yikes!) and Australia might be imposing more strict rules. I'm afraid that all the waiting and preparation will just be put to waste. This is really very difficult. I hope i could make up my mind soon, and that such decision will be the right one. I'm just glad that I have the chance to talk to people like you who share similar situations with me. Just keep us updated. :) By the way, congrats on your IELTS! Thats the start of the good things to come. Yey!

Oh no! Reality hurts. :'( I guess i should really acquire experience first. I guess i just got too excited of the thought that even with zero experience, you'll get through. I didn't realize i was risking too much. After gaining experience, I shall try again. Good things come to those who wait. Thanks for this, ceridwyn!
