Hi! Anyone who's already working as staff nurse in PGH here? Can you give me an idea on how long or how many months will we have to wait for the HR to call us for medical then deployment? I had my final interview last march and asked to wait for their call. I am currently employed in a secondary hospital so they told me not to pass resignation yet; wait for them for the go signal. How about the other hospitals? I do hope they'll still have another batch to give chance to others and many of the nurses who still don't have a stable job. I'm looking forward and waiting for it too.

Hi @mikeru, did she also told you that she'll just text you soon? Are you already done with your final interview? Really, three months of waiting and twice cancelled seems so hard to bear with. Maybe since I still don't have somewhere I can volunteer as of now. Though planning to volunteer @ PGH or apply in RN Heals next year if there's another training.:)

Hi! My panel interview's tentatively scheduled tomorrow but then when I called today @ PGH Ms. * said that my interview was cancelled and she'll just text me when would be available. Can anyone tell how long it is to wait when a certain interview has been cancelled? Thanks!:)

I am fearing that when I start my training or job as a nurse, I may feel burned out. Whenever I see staff nurses doing their duty, I can feel their tiredness but that doesn't show in them. I wanted to be a competent nurse (I'm a newly RN) by working at a hospital and improving my skills. But here in the Philippines overtime is normal and part of the working hours and I fear that I may get drained and will not be able to perform well. I'm thinking of some things like I may not really like this job that's why there's something holding my back, or maybe I'm not yet prepared and new to have experience first. I'm an introvert and I think this affects my performance when I was a student; my enegry easily needs to be rechanneled immediately. How can I resolve this? Hoping for your good answers or opinions.

As the nursing board exam was newly released last August 23, 2012, I think we have to wait for the PRC to schedule when we will be able to get our licenses. So far the only training I have attended was the BLS-SFA..Next will be the ACLS and IVT training. Do you think I should prioritize getting my IVT first? According to some, we'll not be able to complete the cases without licenses. And I think our possible schedule for IVT will be on October 17 or 24 yet because of the proximity of place and I haven't found any schedule anymore for September. We're planning to go to some hospitals we would want to apply for by this week, by passing our resumes to them. Do you think it'll be fine even if we haven't got our IVT training and license yet? Thank you for anyone who'll answer this. I'm kind of confused of what to prioritize. You may have additional information if you like :)
