Thanks:redpinkhe

  4. I am an RN, have been since february 2005,I work in a telemetry/med surg unit where I can say I have gotten some experience but I know I still have so much to learn.I was recently offered an RN position in a plastic surgeon office/surgery center where I will be doing amongst other things pre and post op assessment, stiches removal etc.I am exited but at the same time I know I still need a lot more experience which I will only adquire working in a hospital.I am concerned that I am going to stay behind when it comes to nursing skills.I still dont know how much he will be paying but I was told money will be good do you guys have any idea?I work night shift, make 25.60 +differencials .Please advise

  8. Hi there I am a new nurse too.I'm very happy and excited but at the same time scared and worried about the time is gonna take to really feel comfortable and confident with my job.I will be working on a med surg/telemetry floor as well.I am terrified of making a mistake. When in school I rotated through hospitals that were all computarized.before giving your meds you would scan the patient id band and documentation was also in the computer. Now,I am in a place that everything is manual and that scares me a little.I am very surprised that a hospital like Baptist H. in Miami don't have this computer system already.I'll put 200% of myself tolear fast but still I know is gonna take a few mistakes in order to learn.Any advise for the tele new nurses? 9. Hello again, I am glad to say I passed. The results were not ready but I did a licence look up at the DOH web site and my name was there this morning but I waited for the results before posting.I still can't believe it ,my dream is a reality now. And PICURN i know is easy to say it now that it's over for me but if you had 75 questions chances are big that you passed too. It's hard when you have no clue or point of reference to find out if your answers were correct.I know now ,that there is no book that will prepare you for that weird exam jut do the best we can , use comon sense and good judgement and pray we analized the question correctly.Let us know ok? 10. Yes I do have quick results but still not available.I am getting more nervous by the second. DyeRN
  11. hi Still waiting,I don't know what else to do not to think about it.I got a job at Baptist Hosp contingent I pass.I am suposed to start next monday.I,m praying
  12. Hi guys Yes, I took it and I don't know what to think,it was a really weird test.I had 75 questions and I'm a very concerned.I did not get math questions or fill in the blank or hot spots and only 3 or 4 of select all that apply. Also I had some priorities and pick the stable patient to transfer.I don't know if this is a bad sign since these are considered "difficult" questions needed to pass.I am really dying to know my results.
