  1. I graduated from the program August 2014. The program is intense and watch out for Dr. V.
  2. Put him in his place... He has more to chew before he can swallow... Haha😁. His time will come.
  3. Just stay there for a while so you can get the experience.
  4. I have been doing UM/CM for over a year now and from my opinion you would be going backwards and downgrading yourself. UM is not really "nursing." You don't have to be a nurse to do some of the stuff we do. I think UM is so boring....but that's just my opinion and basing it from my experience. You can try though you might like looking in front of a monitor all day :)
  5. You don't have to be smart to do anything. You just have want to do it, be compassionate, and willing to do it. I know a lot of nurses who are smart, but can't do nursing.
  6. University of San Francisco has a DNP program that's not online.
  7. Of course Duke! It's waaay better than CSUN! How can you pass up Duke?
  8. Hi jamisaurus, Where is this place at that hires new grads in ICU? Are they still hiring even if it's not in ICU...hehe..thanks!
  9. Did you have to get interviewed for the DNP program?
  10. Joel Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com
  11. Yes everyday. I work the night shift and nurses don't come to work until 0930 or later or sometimes they don't show up. I am always worried no one will relieve me and I end up staying. I drive one hour away and there have been numerous times I nearly got in to an accident. Employers don't care and they get upset when you tell them you can't come back the next night after working 16 hours (11-7 to 7-3).
  12. Where do you work?
  13. 1. California 2. 8 years as an LVN, 5 years as an RN and ongoing 3. SNF 4. $47/Hr, 1 - 2 hours required OT everyday, no shift differential 5. Non-union
  14. 1. California 2. 8 years LVN 5 years RN 3. SNF 4. $47.00/Hr + 1 - 2 hours OT
