  1. I stuck to the 15 for the paper. I had printed more off to look through and pick the 15 I liked the best
  2. Oh they totally changed it then!! That is awesome! That would definitely make the class more enjoyable. I don't totally remember, but I don't think I submitted the same paper even twice in that class....
  3. That is awesome if you enjoyed it. I just have very different beliefs. I know I was at a christian school and a religion class is kinda expected, but that was probably one of the harder classes for me since I had different beliefs.
  4. Oh my goodness, I HATED that class so much
  5. life has been so hectic since I moved. There is no way I could have done this while still in school. I am very thankful for the program. We are constantly learning new things as nurses. We need to continue to learn new things. Getting my BSN has granted me more options than I had with my ADN. Keep up all the hard work everyone. You will get there. This is a great place to vent and get advice.
  6. I doubled up on Trends and Leadership. It was alright. Busy, but doable. granted I don't have a family of a significant other that requires my time. I just had to think about work and school.
  7. I can understand your fear. I am currently a level II NICU nurse and I am switching to a level IV. I too am so nervous about this transition. I am very excited to learn everything I can.
  8. I started in a Chest Pain Telemetry Unit. I was there for 8 months before I was able to transfer over to a sister hospital in the NICU. I don't really think the specific unit I worked on helped me in getting into NICU. I had actually never been in a NICU before. My school was in a small area that didn't have a NICU. I moved from my original state of North Dakota down to Texas for my very first job. I have been in Texas for 2 years and am now moving up to Wisconsin to work in another NICU there. I never want to leave the NICU now.
  9. I had to do that a numerous times. It was stressful, but typically the instructors realize this and acknowledge your frustration. I hope your Ethics Teacher understands this. Is this the final week? I hope it goes better for you
  10. Only some teachers will give separate scores to individuals on a CLC. What class was this for? I would send a message to the teacher. Let her know what has been going on. I am so very sorry, Prism. The CLC's really suck sometimes. So many people are NOT team players
  11. I know they have changed the assignments and what not since I took stats. I guess the only pointers I could say would be if you need help use the tutoring service, or find videos on youtube to help. That is what I did. It really helped. Good luck with your last 2 weeks in Stats! You can do it!!
  12. I was not a fan of stats at all. I spent a LOT of time googling and on youtube to help me understand the language and assignments. I can always BS my way through a paper. You can't BS your way through stats.
  13. I've never heard of anyone being told later that they needed to take more classes. This was one of the reasons I picked GCU. I currently live in Texas and I would have had to take history and government classes here to be able to get my bachelors. One of the schools here also wouldn't accept my classes from my original college in MN. Don't understand why since it was all accredited. There was no way I was retaking all my sciences and english classes. So GCU was the best choice for me!
  14. I am changing my current residence. Currently I live in Texas. Wisconsin allows you to work under another compact license for 90 days, but the hospital I will be working at only allows for 30 days. I just heard that the WI board of nursing can be kinda slow.
  15. If you wanna do it, do it!
  16. That is really up to you. Do you want your BSN? Are people forcing you towards the BSN? Do what matters to you, and what you really want.
  17. That is a stinker. Too bad. At least you are prepared now, and you always have the people here to vent to and ask questions.
  18. I can barely remember what teachers I had. Well, besides my last instructor for Capstone. She was awesome. The rest I think I have blocked from my memory.
  19. Does anyone know how long it takes to get your WI license by endorsement? I am a US citizen, and did all my schooling in the States. I am moving from Texas up to Wisconsin. I have a compact license. The hospital I will be working at will only allow me to work under my compact license for 30 days. I don't start until Sept. 8th, and I mailed my application for endorsement 2 weeks ago. I am hoping I will have my WI RN license in enough time.
  20. That is so nice your work is understanding. I hope you tolerate the shakes and water. Gotta get you completely healthy again.
  21. Making that pamphlet was so difficult. Ugh, there wasn't enough room, I had to make some things really small font to make them fit. I did not enjoy it at all.
  22. Many of us on here are either still enrolled in GCU or have recently graduated from the program. What kind of questions do you have?
  23. I also had statistics for dummies, although I never opened it. I used google to help me understand what was all going on. I hope you can figure it all out
  24. Just search into youtube about statistics. I know I used it to help me understand a bit. Although I cannot recall what I typed into it to help me out. There are a few instructors on there that will really help you out. Hearing a voice sometimes makes things stick.
  25. Oh my goodness. I hope you heal quickly. I am so sorry about the problems.
