  1. Yes funny in an odd way. If I didn't read it I would never believed it. Seriously what are the odds that this would ever happen. This is one of them stories hear hear from a friend that knows this guys who knows this guy that had a friend this happen too. Now they are getting sue because they stated that the hospital shouldn't allow him to hold his wife. What is next? The next time a woman has a child is the husband going have to wait in the car due to a fear of a lawsuit?
  2. All I ever see U.S. Navy nurses do is push paperwork. Most of the time when I get seen at the Navy base(my wife is in the Navy) I get treated by corpmans which are EMT's. I never tell them my educational background and I do like messing with the nurses about asking simple entry level nursing questions and listen to them give me some crazy unaccurate answers.
  3. Oh come on, unless you are looking at drug book published back when M.A.S.H. was playing they are in any well nationally recognized drug book. BTW, wouldn't it be nice if they would come out with a M.A.S.H reunion?
  4. Maybe this is wrong, but I think this story is funny.
  5. I have never had any family member in a nursing home. Our parents have taken care of us for twenty years or so and there should be no reason why we can't take care of our parents. Do you think that your parents would put you in a home as a child if you were terminally ill?
  6. The hospital I currently work in doesn't hire any LPN's. The hospital I worked at before my currently employment had LPN's, but they weren't hiring anymore. I believe that nursing homes is an ideal place of employment for LPN's. I personally don't have any problems with LPN's, but I would rather have my love one being taking care by an RN than a LPN.
  7. I disagree in not letting your dreams of becoming a CRNA interfere with your BSN. I was a janitor in a hospital with no college when I decided I wanted to become a CRNA. I enrolled in college and excel in all of my courses and one year after graduation from a BSN program. I applied to 4 CRNA programs and I received admission offers from three. During the hard times in school, I always stepped back and remember why I was there and what the ultimate goal was. The goal of being accepted into a CRNA program. Go for it and keep your dream alive, only you and you alone can might your dream come true.
  8. I apologize to everyone who read my posting. What I meant to say isn't actually how it appeared. Once again I'm sorry.
  9. admin note: rude comments removed, a reminder to everyone, please be polite and not inflamatory.
  10. I'm from Texas and I doubt that you would make anymore than 22 dollars an hour at a nursing home.
  11. GPA 3.45 in Nursing BSN. 3.58 GPA in Biology/Chemistry BS Cert: PALS, ACLS 17 months as a Nurse in which all was in ICU Applied to three schools and I received offers from two.
