  1. Change in mental status or altered mental status
  2. I have been in school 2 and a half years. I will finish my nursing courses in July 2013. Total will all prereq's and general ed courses I will have been in 3 and 1/2 years to get my RN(ADN). It is a long process not something you are going to do in just a year or two. It takes time and dedication. So be sure it is what you want and you have to have a high GPA to qualify because nursing is very competitive. Don't take someone else's spot that reallly wants to be a RN if you are not serious... enough said...
  3. I am in Georgia and my tuition was was $1700 which included my charges for my books. I have my GI Bill that paid this and then I paid for my clinical uniforms separately..
  4. I do new books. Do not rent because you will go back and reference your nursing books from one semester to the next. I like to make my own notes in my books. Used books are sometimes missing valuable pages or written in heavily to where it is hard to make your own notes and references in them!!! You will want new books and the price difference isn't that bad.
  5. We know at the beginnning of the semester which hospital we will do all our clinicals at for that semester. We get our patient assignments when we get to the hospital on our clinical days. We meet in a private area and get a report from our instructor on our patient for that clinical day!!!
  6. yeah contact the people on the jury summons and tell them you think the suspect is guilty and they will drop you from the jury pool!!!
  7. Sketchers Shape Ups white
  8. The hard part is still to come you have to know what you are doing and be able to keep up your grades to stay in the program. I am going into my 3rd semester and it is not easy. I have made A's in the 3 nursing classes I have taken. I study 8 to 10 hours a day so be ready...and good luck
  9. Go all the way RN's make more and get a lot more respect in the end!! Go ahead for the RN you will be glad you did!!!
  10. I don't see what you are complaining about either. My instructor walks us through step by step also. You have to remember you are practicing under her license. If something goes wrong the instructor can loose her nursing license and the school can loose their accreditation. I think you are being a little too hard on the instructor. She is only doing her job. It takes a special person to be a nurse and an even more special nurse to be an instructor. Learn from her and take in the information. I love my instructor and I have learned so much from her.
  11. I got the one at walmart that has a white rubber band, glow in the dark hour and minute hands, and the second hand sweep. The face is a little bigger so it is easily seen from a distance. It cost me $11 and is waterproof to 100meters.
  12. when it is unaccredited you can only practice nursing in that state. I would go to a college where the courses are accredited. It doesn't do any good to take the courses when the degree you get is not even worth the paper it is written on. A true college will have all the accreditation in place. Even if you finish the courses you still may not be able to sit for boards. I would definately change programs while I was early in the game. I am in the ADN program in Georgia and our Pharmacology was 16 weeks long. There is no way you can get all the clinical hours you need in one year to be elgible for boards.
