Found out today too! Took mine Friday! Passed!!!

Hey... So I struggled while I was in nursing school.. I worked my ass of to study for exams and still did not do as well as I had wanted or expected to do. However, I never gave up and you shouldn't either. If nursing is what you really want to do, then you need to work as hard as you can to accomplish that goal. Anyways, I just took my nclex this past Friday (July 10) and I graduated May 30th with my BSN. I was terrified to take nclex, but I had no choice so I purchased Hurst and did the review online at my own pace. After the lectures, I did the practice exams scoring anywhere from 70-85/125 questions. I also purchased the NCLEX RN Mastery app for my phone so I could do questions while I was out-waiting in line, at work on my break, in the car, etc... About a week before my exam, I bought the Kaplan qbank online and worked through many questions on there (very similar to nclex style questions!). I made sure I read the rationales and that I understood before moving on. Today, I found out I passed nclex. My computer stopped at 78... I had tons of priority questions, 20 SATA, no math, one or two meds.... Bottom line, you NEED to know how to delegate, and who your priority clients would be out of a selection of 4. Just at keep doing questions, but make sure you UNDERSTAND the rationales and content! You can do this!!!

I found out today, after 48 agonizing hours, that I am officially an RN!!!

Hey guys, So I took my exam yesterday and I got 78 questions, 20 SATA, and the computer shutoff on a SATA... Are these good signs or what?! I'm too afraid to try the PVT!

Thank you for the advice! I'm slightly regretting taking hurst... I've heard pass rate for those who took Kaplan is really high! Well ill it's too late now, so I'll take full advantage of what I do have an just continue working my ass off.

Did you find that hurst did not help you? Why do you think you failed?!

Hey everyone! So I take my NCLEX next week and I am pretty nervous as this is a HUGE exam that determines a lot! I absolutely need to pass the first time... I cannot imagine having to go through this agony a second time. Quick background: I graduated from my BSN program in May (2015). I purchased the HURST online Review, which I have been working on for the last 3 weeks. During school, there were classes that I struggled with, and times where I did not think I would pass. I am not the best test taker (never have been)... My biggest concern is doubting myself on the exam, and changing my answers! Any advice from those who have already taken NCLEX... Specifically those who have taken it within the last few months? How was the exam? Difficult? Was it similar to the exams you took in nursing school? If you had to take HESI Exit at your school, was it similar to that? Anyone who took HURST to prepare, did you find it helped you and prepared you for NCLEX? Thank you, Kaitlin

Wow that is a really fantastic score! Especially after receiving a 750! Congrats! Where did you get your practice questions from? Evolve? Books? I just need more resources!

I have been doing so many practice questions! And I meet with my teacher this upcoming Tuesday to go over the ones I missed and the rationales. Hoping that will help me! Thank you for the advice!

0Hey guys, So recently I did not pas my Hesi Exit exam.. I received a pretty low score, in fact, 70% of my class did not pass. The benchmark was 850, and a lot of people didn't achieve that. We are being allowed to take it a second time, which will be held on May 22nd. I need advice on how to be successful on this exam! If I don't pass, I can not walk in graduation. Any advice? Study tips? Study resources? I've utilized evolve hesi exams, Kaplan q-bank, re-read notes from previous classes, and a test taking strategies course held at my school. I do not know what else to do. Any little bit will help! Thank you in advance : )

I passed my CNA exam in 2009! I've been working as a CNA since then at both a nursing home and more recently home health care!! Working as a CNA has helped me decide whether or not I want to become a nurse... I suggest that anyone who has doubts on becoming an RN or anyone who is unsure if it's the right career for them, take a CNA course and work as one for at least a year! I start nursing school in January of 2013! I'm extremely excited and very fortunate that I was able to get a hands on experience before I made my decision to become an RN! Hey guys! I was accepted into the Elmhurst College nursing program and begin in January... I was wondering if anyone has gone to, or knows anyone who went to Elmhurst and graduated from their BSN program?! Any feedback is welcome! I have heard good things about the program but have yet to talk to anyone who is/was IN the program! Thanks : ))

Micro by far is the most difficult out of the science courses you listed.. It requires a ton of studying and focus!... If I had to choose the most difficult science course out of all the ones I've taken, I'd have to say organic chemistry for sure!! It kicked my a** : ( You should do fine though as long as you pay attention, take good notes, and study study study!!! Good luck this semester and in the future as well!! : ))

I was rejected 5 times before I was finally accepted : ( It was really hard to continue pursing my dream after being turned down so many times... but I want to be a nurse more than anything so I could not give up. I tried for one more school and luckily they accepted me : ) You will get in eventually and if you really want this, you will not give up! Good luck to you : ) I'll be rooting you on!!
