  1. I had my second interview last week, a verbal offer a few afters the interview from the manager, and the official offer from HR today! Can't wait to start and meet everyone
  2. I am a new grad nurse! This was a great read for me. I'm at the stage where I can't even find a job though unfortunately
  3. I used Kaplan and passed, but wished I had done more content review in preparation, especially pharm
  4. RN experience is definitely makes you more competitive for the UCLA program. I don't know any MECNs who were able to go straight from their program to an advanced nurse program
  5. Hey junealex, I was number 5. I totally know how you feel, hang in there it'll totally be worth the wait. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
  6. I just got the email too! Congrats queenie, I'll see you in fall and good luck to everyone else on the waitlist :)
  7. Hi jungdt, I got accepted to Western also! A huge factor for me is cost, and Western's tuition without considering housing/books is 119k for the 4 years whereas UCLA's tuition is around 20,000. The location is also better for me. Another reason why I like UCLA that it's only 2 years and I can choose to specialize in something down the line if I wanted to like nurse anesthetist or NP in nicu/other sub-specialty. With Western, there are only a few tracts you can choose from and the NP one is strictly Family nurse practitioner. What schools are you leaning towards? Hope I helped!
  8. Hi Breezy123, Congratulations! If you don't mind me asking, were you admitted off the waitlist? And if so, how did they contact you? I'm in the single digits and I haven't heard anything from them...the anticipation is killing me! Congrats again from another former Bruin. :)
  9. Hello everyone! This is my first time posting. I was wondering if anyone on the waitlist has heard back. I was checking last year's board and it seems like they heard back before their March 18th deadline. I'm in the single digits, but I really want to go to UCLA. If not, it looks like I'll be off to Western. Thanks for any help!
