Just had my first 12 hour clinical today, was from 0530 to 1800. I'm pooped... I have 2 - twelve hour clinical per week for advanced med surg right now. And studying is not on my mind tonight. I'm still regaining feeling in my feet that are cramping up right now. I've tried 5 hour energy when I used to work late at my old job, so I think that it works... its just really strong tasting and needs water to wash it down.

Spent Sunday and Monday in orientation and lecture today and Thursday and start clinical for Advanced Med-Surg on Friday. I believe we start with two patients and we don't get our assignments until we get to the hospital. Mindlor, I did that in psych last semester and it was called a process recording for us. Thankfully we only had to do one.

I'm not zoning out, my brain is just full for the day and I don't comprehend what's going on.

Yes, I plan to as well. But probably within my last semester (5th) which starts in August.

Well it's good that the emailed you. That would have been nerve wracking to put all that work in and not have part of the application in.

I'm exhausted after a week of lecture. We start clinical next week. I'm going to need a lot of coffee. Haha.

I'm doing my Advanced Med-Surg intensive right now, so I'm trying to focus on that while we wait for the letters. At least one could hope.

Wow, you are definitely a world traveler like your name. I was an exchange student to Japan in 2006 but haven't had the opportunity (because of needing to work) or the funds to volunteer any place like that.

I'm in Northern California at a Cal State. I put high interest in pretty much everything but general medicine where I put some interest. I'm with you in just getting into the program and no caring where I'm placed.
