  1. You should get it on time. I took mine in California of June 4th, my name was posted on the BRN website on June 7th
  2. I went into nursing school right out of highschool at 18. I chose to go the BSN route because it was the same amount of time as ADN. For ADN you have 2 years of pre-reqs, give or take, then another two years of nursing program... That's the same four years as the BSN. So those were my reasons... I was 18, and figured why not go for the BSN while im still young
  3. Just look at the answer choices as true/false... I got very few practice ones on Kaplan. I found that the ones on the actual nclex was very straight forward, I found the priority questions much harder that the SATA
  4. 75 questions in 45 minutes
  5. I took mine June 4, did the pvt literally 5 minutes after leaving the testing facility, and got the good pop up. Did it a million times more for the two days Waiting for the results, and still Kept Getting the good pop up. So it doesn't matter how soon you do it after taking the exam :) and Good Luck! :)
  6. Well found out officially today that I passed!!!
  7. here it is 25855834-Nclex-Study-Guide.pdf
  8. Oh, and 2 days before I tested, I looked over that Allnurses nclex study guide. It really reinforced everything I knew already
  9. Thanks!!! I feel so relieved to have it over! Now just hoping the PVT is correct!
  10. My school actually had Kaplan as part of our tuition. We took several Kaplan tests during school. The week after graduation they had a Kaplan instructor come and do the "live review" after the review, you still have access to the qbank and question trainers.
  11. I took the nclex RN today. Computer shut off at 75 questions. By about question 60 I knew I was doing well, and new the computer would shut off at 75 when i got 5 select all that applies in a row. Got home, did the PVT and got the good pop up! Looking back, was it hard?... No... Challenging... Yes. Personally I really feel like my school really prepared me well for nclex, we took a lot of hesi and CAT exams. All I have to say to those awaiting to take it is that try and stay calm, although it's easier said than done. Also I swear by Kaplan. I really felt like its a good resource. That's all I really did, did all question trainers and 800 qbank. Averaged high 60s to low 70s Good luck to everyone getting ready to take it :) hopefully the PVT still works!
  12. Well looks like I'm off to Johns Hopkins, didnt get an offer for the transplant ICU. Not bitter at all. Good luck to everyone one else who is still lOoking for a job :) and congrats to those who got offers! :)
  13. i am still waiting, and i interviewed in april. lol. although my situation is a bit odd....got a rejection email only for the unit director to call me just to inform me she will give me a call with a yes or no by the end of this month, which is actually in 2days, so hope to hear some good news. Apparently there was a glitch in their system with my file.
  14. I found your post to be a bit snarky. While I agree with you that students (as I was one, and just graduated) can sometimes get in nurses way. I found your post to be a little snarky, like I stated.
  15. Well hello negative nancy.
  16. Yayy!! Congrats!! :)
  17. I'm from soCal and left to go to nursing school in Illinois, Ideally I absolutely want to stay in california. Based on that, UCLA is definetely my first choice. However, Johns Hopkins is the number 1 Hospital in the Nation, it would be an absolute honor to work there as well....I think I'm going to wait till the end of may for UCLA, hopefully they offer me a position! then I'll be calling Hopkins to rescind my offer...if UCLA doesn't call me, Baltimore here I come!! hahaha
  18. I start Hopkins June 18th, I wanted to move early there and get situated before starting.
  19. The weirdest thing just happend. I got a call from the unit director of the liver transplant ICU saying that she hasn't made all final decisions yet and that she will definetely call by the end of this month. What even more odd is that I told her how I got the rejection email, and she wasLike disregard it because she hasn't finished makin her decisions. I don't even know what to do now, I'm getting ready to move to Baltimore for my johns Hopkins job next week. So confused about what to do...
  20. Thanks guys!! =)
  21. It just sucks because my family is in SoCal, and Im in school in Illinois... Really wanted to move back to SoCal.. But I feel blessed to have the opportunity at johns Hopkins. Good luck to everyone!!! :)
  22. Rejection email for transplant ICU... Looks like I'm moving to Baltimore for johns Hopkins...
