  1. I like it better than Saunders too :) good luck ursweetpea!I think the book helped me tremendously+its Q&A's!been using Davis success series since NS and It always helped me pass my exams!:)
  2. I'll Pm you :) Edit: Meh! I think my message didn't go through -.- I only have 15 posts so far and it wouldn't allow to send private messages. Anyway, this is the one I used :) http://www.amazon.com/Daviss-NCLEX-RN®-Success-Sally-Lagerquist/dp/0803621647/ref=pd_sim_b_1 I think It's the same company as the one you mentioned. Just different author. You can buy it on ebay or half.com, or wherever you can find it cheaper It's worth a try!For kaplan, there's a ton of question trainers online for free. And thank you :) Stay positive!you will pass the second time around
  3. It's a good content reviewer but I have to agree that the questions are a bit easier... but using it in conjunction with other nclex reviewer books is ok I guess.
  4. Good luck! You can do it :) trust yourself, you got this!:)
  5. I just took the exam today at 10am What I did yesterday?I exercised, did a quick review of dosage calculations, and watched some sappy korean movie hehe!took 25mg of benadryl at 9pm and slept (but I still had a hard time falling asleep!lol!but I got a good solid 4 hrs of sleep without disruption :)) I chose not to study anymore 3 days prior because I couldn't focus anymore lol! Sending good vibes to future nclex takers!~May
  6. Congrats!!you were just asking the other day how to relax the day before the exam and now look at youuu Ms.RN!:)
  7. Hi!I used both Kaplan and Davis's NCLEX RN success book. I did all Kaplan qbank/qtrainers and read the whole book of Davis's RN and did all the questions as well.I like the Davis's book more when it comes to studying content. Really really helpful book!lots of helpful tips and memory joggers :) the questions are somewhat same difficulty with kaplan but some questions are definitely harder than kaplan questions. I took the test today and I thought the Q&A of Davis's are indeed harder than nclex - but that's just in my opinion, of course:) If you are tight on money, Davis's Q&A is really worth it!only $35 from amazon :) for kaplan practice questions...let's just say google is your friend! My computer shut off at 75 questions and got the good pop up
  8. I wish I could give you some advice but I'm in the same situation too! LOL! My test is on Monday and I haven't been able to get a decent sleep due to anxiety ? Maybe try to distract yourself by doing something that you like? ? Good luck!
  9. Congratulations! Thanks for the tips! I'm using Kaplan Qbank and Qtrainers as well!Just like you, I would read all the rationale of each answers whether I got them right or wrong. Then I would write down the topics that I missed and study them afterwards. I take the test on the 22nd and I hope to post here that I passed the test, too!:)
  10. Pretty much what Smilty said :) and practice lots of SATA questions!I'm a foreign student too but I graduated here in the US. I take the NCLEX the 22nd as well!Good luck to us!:)
  11. Thanks Breezy and Cuddles!I think I will just take these classes separately and not overwhelm myself with workload Even if i have to take a semester off,I've come to realize that it's really a reasonable trade to keep my sanity lol...and make sure I pass these classes.
  12. Hi all!I have to take Medsurg II and Microbiology this summer Just wondering if anyone has done this before?and if it's even doable and possibly pass both?I'm getting really worried because I know both of these classes require A LOT of studying...and the fact that it's gonna be really fast-paced. If given a chance, I wouldn't even take medsurg with microbio but I pretty much don't have a choice. My school will not allow me to advance to OB&Peds this fall if haven't taken microbio. I'm a transfer student and my previous college didn't require us to take microbio to get into the nursing prog. Now I have to really take it -.- Advisor told me if I don't want to take it together, I will have to take a semester break from the nursing prog just to take micro So, is it possible to survive these classes w/o flanking the other class? Sorry If I sound like I'm complaining, I'm just really worried
