  1. Hi jwheeler1, Some classes have audio lectures and some do not. There is more reading and writing involved compared to undergrad (in my opinion). Every class has an assignments calendar, so you will know what is due for the whole semester on the first day of class. I have not had any issues contacting professors, you just have to know their preferences. Some like for questions to be posted to the questions forum, some do not check the forum and prefer emails. One even gives out a personal cell phone number. The program is affordable, I think it is because it is a public brick and mortar school. I live close by and earned my BSN through OU so I wanted to continue on in the same place.
  2. I am in the online program, but you are required to be on campus at least three times throughout the program.
  3. Update: There was an administrative error with my application and it was withdrawn, which is why I never heard back for an interview. My ADN program sent my transcripts to the undergraduate college instead of to the graduate college but admin still entered my application as complete. When they reviewed my application, no transcript was there at the grad college :'(. Once the error was corrected, my application was put in for summer admission. I was interviewed on Feb 20th and accepted Feb 23rd. Let me know if you will be in the summer cohort- I'd love to hear from you!
  4. I interviewed on Feb 20th and received an acceptance email on Feb 23rd. I'm excited to meet you all during orientation!
  5. Hello! I know this post is about Ohio State, but I saw several people had also applied to Ohio University's fnp program. I applied to OU and am awaiting a response. I'm so anxious. I'm feeling discouraged because I was not chosen for an interview. Those of you who were accepted to OU- did you get an interview?
  6. Hello, I applied to Ohio University's online family nurse practitioner program for Spring 2018. I should receive an answer sometime this month indicating whether or not I was accepted. I am worried though, because I was not selected for an interview. I guess I should not assume- but I thought that if I got an interview, it would have been a good sign, though not a guarantee for admittance. The wait is making me anxious. I thought I was a good candidate for the program (but who doesn't??). Acceptance seems really competitive, which is what I am looking for. Just hope I make it! Has anyone been recently accepted without an interview? For anyone currently in the program or those who have recently graduated, can you give me a review- good things and bad- so I know what to expect? If I'm not accepted, I plan on reapplying as long as I can find some helpful feedback from current students/alumni.
  7. I didn't know that giving shots "on the go" was part of my job description!
  8. Sometimes adults need held down too.
  9. Hi everyone! I started the program in October 2011 and I just scheduled my last quarter for the summer. I will complete my BSN by August 11, 2012! I am so excited! I had to take all 12 nursing core classes (took 2 at a time) as well as junior english and a cultural class. I worked full time and also have a family. It is possible, just keep your mind set to your goals :) Good luck everyone!
  10. Hi! I just started the rn to bsn program with nrse 300 and 310. I tested out of 310- such a relief! My plan is to take 2 classes at a time and hopefully finish by July 2012. I was wondring if there are any other classes to test out of? Also, how long did it take to get your DARS report? I would like to make sure my calculations are correct. As long as everything transfered (fingers crossed), I should only need 6 more credit hours besides the 50 cr. hrs for nursing courses to graduate.
