  1. I have a macbook air with microsoft office for mac. I am just having trouble setting up a paper in APA format. When I bought the mac I was told that the microsoft for pc was very similar to the one for mac. However, this is not true. They layout is very different and it is very difficult to set the paper up the proper way. I love using mac books. Any suggestions on what processing software to use that is the best for making papers into APA format?
  2. Hey everyone! I am a new grad that just passed boards like 3 weeks ago, YAY!! I just started working this past week! I purchased my Dansko shoes right after graduating because everyone I have talked to loved theirs and say they are the best for support. About 6 to 7 years ago I broke my left foot playing basketball on the 5th metatarsal. After working 3 straight days and wearing my Danskos my left foot was killing me, very achy feeling. As the day went on I felt like my left shoe was a lot snugger on my foot than my right one. My right foot felt great and the shoe slipped forward and back like they say they are suppose to. When I got home, the knot on my left foot where i previously broke it was big. The next day I went to work and wore tennis shoes and my left foot didnt hurt at all. Does anyone else have a problem like this? I love those shoes and I dont want to not wear them. Does anyone think it is a support issue? Is there something I can do, or wear with the shoes to make my foot not hurt? I hope someone may have some advise, because my Danskos are adorable and I want to continue wearing them!
  3. Congratulations!!!! It is an awesome feeling isn't it!!
  4. There is also a sticky for the trick and it tells you how to do it step by step!! :) Good luck!
  5. The trick worked!!! I am officially an RN!!! Congratulations to everyone that passed their boards yesterday, and good luck to those that are preparing to take them!
  6. I took my test yesterday as well!!! My computer shut off at 75 questions and I thought I was going to throw up! I felt like the test was too easy. I knew the majority of the content that was on my test, but I didn't know if I was answering the questions right. I felt like since the test shut off at 75 questions, and the questions weren't extremely hard that I had failed. I got into my car and broke down as I was trying the trick, just knowing that I failed. Well as it turns out, I got the good pop up!!!! I could not believe it! I didn't know whether to cry or laugh or what! I still had a long drive home from the center, so I turned my music up as loud as I could and started singing away with joy! :) It is an awesome feeling knowing I passed! (Well praying the trick doesn't fail any of us) I would highly recommend the NCSBN course for preparation (I did the 3 wk, only because when I started it, I only had 2 wks left till my test). I did a lot of ATI assessments after the VATI was finished (just ask your instructor for some more codes), I used the prioritization, delegation, and assignment book, i used Lippincott's Q & A for the NCLEX-RN, and I also used Lippincott's NCLEX-RN Alternative-Format Questions.
  7. Oh I hope so!! I will let ya know after I get the official results! :) I'm so excited!
  8. 75 Questions in about an hour and half!!!! GOOD POP UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I pray that this trick actually works, and isn't false hope!!!!! :)
  9. Thank you everyone! I have prepared so much for this, but I'm still so nervous that I won't pass. I am praying everyday for guidance through this, and now I am putting it in his hands. I have done what can, I know what I know, I just now have yo believe. And for those that are testing on Monday right along with me, just say this one word anytime you feel defeated, believe!!! We have prepared for this and we deserve it!
  10. Hey everyone!! I am getting very nervous for the big day approaching! I will take my NCLEX on June 11th. I have studied using the Virtual ATI and on the predictor I scored a 93% probablility. I also used NCSBN 3 week course and my scores were between 65% to 70%. I used the used the Prioritization, delegation, and assignment book and scored in the upper 60s. Do you think I am ready? I do questions every day. I feel like i know quite a bit, but anything is possible when you get into the test. I am so super nervous I am going to fail!
  11. Hey everyone!! I just have a question I think someone might be able to clear up for me! All through school, I was told that in NCLEX land you have everything you need, including doctor's orders. During my studying I have came across different rationales in different books! On some different questions it says notify doctor because you need an order for like oxygen or to do a culture, while on differnent rationales it goes with the oxygen or culture answers! So I dont know which way it is for the NCLEX. Do I always call physican or do I assume I have the order?
  12. Im currently in last year of Nursing school, and I am fascinated with Neuro! I want to work in either the Neuro ICU or the Neuro med-surg floor. I was curious as to what special certifications are needed for this, if any? I have the basic CPR required for Nursing school, also I am only in an Associates program. Is a Bachelors required for this field? I plan on bridging to get my BSN, just not sure I wanted to do it right out of school. I am just trying to find information, because I live in such a small town there is very few resources. I will have to drive an hour for work to get to the nearest hospital that has a Neuro unit:nurse:

  14. So the good and bad pop up work reliably even when my account says "my results arent ready?" I can do the steps of trying to reregister and it gives me the good pop up, which i am assuming is the right thing since if my results were ready then i could just look on the BON website for my state. I just want to make sure I am not getting my hopes up!
  15. Okay!!! I am being a skeptic! I just took the NCLEX today... They said the results wouldn't be done till monday due to it being a weekend. So I followed the steps and did the trick.. I received the good pop up which makes me so excited, however I just want to be sure. When going under "current activity" in my profile it does say status: deliever successful, but at the bottom it also says "your exam results are not available at this time." So could I be having false hope, or does everyones current activity say that even when they get the good pop up?
