I got a job after about my 300th application and even then it's abt an hour commute time.. Maybe look in other cities that's what worked for me..

If something goes wrong with the patient I think you will be sued to your highest level of education regadless of if you're working as a CNA or not so keep that in mind.

Do you regret your decision?

I started feeling like this after my 200th application.. Someone even suggested that I put that I was white on my apps.. lol. So I just put links to my linkedin and fb in the resume hoping they'd look me up and fall in love -- haha

Hi all, I currently am a new grad, new hire at an urgent care center and just finished my first week. I like it so far but am wondering if the ER would be a better fit for me. I was working as a Paramedic beforehand so I think maybe so.. I just got an offer from an ER in Manhattan and am wondering if I should take it or not. Other nurses I've asked that work in urgent care say the ER is too stressful (they worked there before). Can any ER or urgent care nurses give me any input/advice/insight PLEASE?? I don't want to leave urgent care and regret it and vice versa. Also I do like it so far so if I'm going to leave so early for the ER I want to make it worth it!

We're in a new era.. nothing wrong with it. If actors/directors can ask for funding for their new movie and receive thousands upon thousands of dollars why not nursing students? More power to them..

Can anyone direct me towards websites etc to study for this pharm exam? I am pretty adequate in med math but would like to brush up on some things they may ask. CAn anyone also give me any pointers on what to focus my reviews on? I saw someone say EKGs and acls meds which I'm pretty strong in..

HI GoVeg I had NO idea about that law whatsoever! Thanks so much for bringing that to light.. I've tried LIJ as well I will try again.. I have added that I perform IVs, Intraosseous lines, intubate, 3 and 12 lead ekgs etc on my resume.. Still no callbacks.

Hello all, I have three years experience as a CNA, and 5 as a paramedic. I went from paramedic to RN so I have no nursing experience but I thought that my strong Paramedic existence wild at least Hey me in the ER....not so. Sadly most people including those hiring dont even know the difference between an EMT and paramedic.. Idk what to do ice applied to over 50 places with not one call back! I'm in N.Y. BY the way..
