according to them...out of state applicants must submit a fingerprint card for the state police and FBI. "fingerprint cards are obtained fro this department/division" but don't rely on my information....rely on what IL has to say...it's complicated ...

it is stressful!!! and my previous employer laughed when i asked them to fill out the paperwork--they said have them call our toll-free number and get an automated response. hope that flies in IL.!!!

fingerprinting must be done within 60 days of your application. to: tiny babyRN: if you download the application papers (sorry i don't have that link) they list a whole bunch of places where you can get livescan fingerprints done.

i'm trying to get IL license from Mn. why would a state give you a temp. license sooner than a permanent one? can you apply for jobs with a temp. license?

check you state board of nursing web site. south dakota state university has an on line course in almost every state--jsut make sure it's approved for your state.

where do you live? and what refresher course did you take? i am seriously considering a refresher course and taking clinicals in another state to re-activate that license and then have it endorsed to the state i currently live in. i'm very nervous...
