  1. yrmajesty3: where do you live? so glad to hear you and others you know are back at work!
  2. where are you moving from? getting a IL license is a painfully long and slow process. what part of chicagoland would you move to? many are hiring if you have current experience
  3. hello! i just sent mine in on 11/28 certified mail...they cashed the check IMMEDIATELY (so i know they at least opened the mail...) and then got a letter from the director stating they are doing everything posible to expedite the process. so obviously they know they have a problem....otherwise......i sit and wait...thanks for checking in!
  4. according to them...out of state applicants must submit a fingerprint card for the state police and FBI. "fingerprint cards are obtained fro this department/division" but don't rely on my information....rely on what IL has to say...it's complicated for sure and i would not want to mislead you!
  5. congratulations!! where do you live?
  6. it is stressful!!! and my previous employer laughed when i asked them to fill out the paperwork--they said have them call our toll-free number and get an automated response. hope that flies in IL.!!!
  7. oh....i'm not 100% sure, i applied for permanent license, but it makes sense i guess that all that might be waived (?) for the temp. license....
  8. fingerprinting must be done within 60 days of your application. to: tiny babyRN: if you download the application papers (sorry i don't have that link) they list a whole bunch of places where you can get livescan fingerprints done.
  9. too funny
  10. i haven't yet--but will send it all in on monday
  11. i was fingerprinted in IL
  12. thanks! i already did the fingerprints (for school) and the background check is done...did u get a temp or permanent license? i have a Mn. temp licnse and need IL
  13. why get a temp license instead of a permanent one? can you be hired with a temp license??
  14. i'm trying to get IL license from Mn. why would a state give you a temp. license sooner than a permanent one? can you apply for jobs with a temp. license?
  15. good info.....i'm applying for endorsement from minnesota...why would someone get a temp license vs. permanent?
  16. did you get your IL license yet? how long did it take??
  17. i'm still tring to figure out their system of applying for positions on line! it seems so complicated! i see zero postings...can anyone help with this? thanks
  18. congratulaions!! so nice to hear this!!!
  19. check you state board of nursing web site. south dakota state university has an on line course in almost every state--jsut make sure it's approved for your state.
  20. kimmert19: i just started my sdsu refresher program...how did you like it? i am in illinois.
  21. thank you for that!!!
  22. where do you live? where did you take your refrsher course?
  23. where do you live? and what refresher course did you take? i am seriously considering a refresher course and taking clinicals in another state to re-activate that license and then have it endorsed to the state i currently live in. i'm very nervous about it all...
