where are you moving from? getting a IL license is a painfully long and slow process. what part of chicagoland would you move to? many are hiring if you have current experience

hello! i just sent mine in on 11/28 certified mail...they cashed the check IMMEDIATELY (so i know they at least opened the mail...) and then got a letter from the director stating they are doing everything posible to expedite the process. so obviously they know they have a problem....otherwise......i sit and wait...thanks for checking in!

according to them...out of state applicants must submit a fingerprint card for the state police and FBI. "fingerprint cards are obtained fro this department/division" but don't rely on my information....rely on what IL has to say...it's complicated for sure and i would not want to mislead you!

it is stressful!!! and my previous employer laughed when i asked them to fill out the paperwork--they said have them call our toll-free number and get an automated response. hope that flies in IL.!!!

oh....i'm not 100% sure, i applied for permanent license, but it makes sense i guess that all that might be waived (?) for the temp. license....

fingerprinting must be done within 60 days of your application. to: tiny babyRN: if you download the application papers (sorry i don't have that link) they list a whole bunch of places where you can get livescan fingerprints done.

thanks! i already did the fingerprints (for school) and the background check is done...did u get a temp or permanent license? i have a Mn. temp licnse and need IL

why get a temp license instead of a permanent one? can you be hired with a temp license??
