Online, accredited RN to BSN ...?
I think someone told you the wrong information. Unitek College IS accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges. The ACCSC is recognized by the United States Department of Education Welcome | Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges and Accredited Healthcare Training and Business Education School | Unitek College We are all adults here; I doubt we should be spreading rumors that are not true.

Online, accredited RN to BSN ...?
I’m taking the online RN to BSN program from Unitek College. They are 100% online and accredited. This is the best thing that happened to my career since I started nursing. You take it at your own pace which is very convenient, and I can reach out to others taking the program through the interface. They have in and out of state tuition costs and offer benefits to veterans.

Researching Online RN-BSN schools
I'm working on my BSN from Unitek College. A capstone project is required at the end, but they might have what you are looking for. :nurse:Cindey:nurse:

Is getting my BSN really going to pay off?
i am working on my bsn and everyone i have spoken with (managers and nurses) all say that having a bsn brings better paying jobs and positions. :nurse:cindey:nurse:

does anyone regret becoming a nurse?
i don't regret becoming a nurse. i love what i do and if i had a chance to do it all over again i would! sound of music - i love your username and i hear you when you say that we are overworked and underpaid for what we do! that's why i'm glad i am working on my bachelors! why do you think my username is cloudsofdust - when you see me at work i am actively running around trying to cater to every patient - like on cartoons when they show characters scrambling or running with a cloud of dust under the feet! a very overworked nurse!

Nurses/Moms-your advice, please! :)
I would go for the bsn - many more opportunities for you. I am going to school for my bsn at Unitek College in Fremont California. Since you are a stay at home mom why don't you take the accelerated rn to bsn online? That's what I'm doing and I am so glad I did since I can still work and take care of the kids. And no you are not crazy at all because then that would mean that I am crazy and I am not! So don't worry, you are good!:redbeathe :nurse:Cindey:nurse:

Official nursing student fall 2011 stand up!!!
Congratulations to everyone and good luck! I started my online rn to bsn program at Unitek College in Fremont, California. I have been a nurse for a while but it wasn't that hard to get back in the swing of things with work and school. So far classes have been going very well and I am really excited! :nurse:Cindey:nurse:

Go for BSN right after ADN or get experience first?
Experience is a good and you also want to make money so you can pay to go back to school right? Look into the online options for the bsn and then you can still work while you are going to school. :nurse:Cindey:nurse:

No wait list for lvn to RN programs in California
I'm not sure where you are located but try looking at Loma Linda, West Coast University, Pacific College, and Unitek College. I'm pretty sure they don't have any wait lists. :nurse:Cindey:nurse:

Looking into Unitek College for LVN program
What a small world, I am very familiar with Unitek College. I took my LVN to RN from them a few years back and just decided yesterday to take my online RN to BSN with them. It's a great school that has plenty of financial aid options and I can vouch for the job placement, they get you working in no time. With the online RN to BSN program I can still work at the job they placed me in a few ago while I get the schooling I need! I can't believe they would tell you that they wouldn't place you in a hospital; some of my classmates are working in hospitals. Call back to make sure you heard them correctly. :nurse:Cindey:nurse:

Do you prefer 8 hour or 12 hour shifts?
I can work 8-10 but after that it becomes pretty hard to concentrate! :nurse:Cindey:nurse:

Refused my first assignment today.
It is really irritating to hear how much this goes on and half the time no one speaks up. Congratulations and I'm sure you will find another job soon. Keep your head up. :nurse:Cindey:nurse:
