  1. Thanks! & yes it was. I got very few med questions & no dosage calculations, which I was shocked for lol
  2. I recently passed my NCLEX-PN on Wednesday the 26th. Just be confident & read the questions carefully. It wasn't as bad as I was stressing it to be. You can do this!!!! Good Luck!!
  3. Did u need to change your license to TX before endorsing?
  4. Thank you! I will look into it.
  5. Hi everyone! I just passed my NCLEX-PN in FL & was wondering if anyone can give me info on how or what is needed to endorse my license to TX since I am moving there soon. Thanks!
  6. Wednesday is the big day for me! I was nervous & stressed these last few weeks, but I'm happy to say that I feel pretty calm now. Remaining faithful in God. We got this!! I am reviewing the 35 page going around here & gonna practice a few questions!! Good luck to you tomorrow!!! :-)
  7. Ok thanks! Meds are so difficult with so many side effects!! Ughh we'll see how I do. Is nclex 3500 expensive? My test is on Wednesday, so I don't have that much time.
  8. I take my PN test next week & I am finishing up my Saunders 5th edition then gonna do some practice questions from Exam Cram. I am freaking out about this test. What kind of questions did u get & how many? Any advice. I feel like I've failed & haven't even taken it. I am trying my best to stay positive & believe in God. Still I am so nervous :/
  9. June 26th @ 8 am! I am so nervous!!!?
  10. Good Luck!! Im sure you'll do great! Let me know how it goes, I graduate next week & will soon be taking the PN too! Super anxious!
  11. Mznelly, right now I'm studying Saunders. & my program is the same. My professor just told me last week I need a 90% in my ATI Predictor if not I need the Virtual. Amen! I think the same as you, God wouldn't bring me this far for nothing. As human nature like you say, I can't help but to stress. God Bless will also be praying for you!! What have u been studying?
  12. I'm currently almost done with PN program & I do agree with you but for me this is just something I love to do. We live close by bcz FGCU is near my area, the best of Luck to you. In case of anything going differently, my sister just started her COTA program at Keiser University in Ft Myers & she loves it.
  13. I have one month til my graduation!!!! Woot woot! Finally!! But I am seriously stressing out about NCLEX! Any study tips or recommendations anybody can offer!!! Please!
  14. I really do like them. Sometimes it's hard because the nurse you get assigned to isn't so helpful & that's when I get bored or I'm finding random things to do to waste time. But most of the times the nurses are really understanding & they try to teach/show you as much as they can, especially if anything is very interesting, like wound vacs or tach care, just things like that. They appreciate your help a lot especially when you start passing meds. Hardest part for me is having confidence in myself, I know how to do things but I just get scared I will panic & mess up. But for the most part clinicals is fun, interesting & you will learn so much by doing hands on!
  15. Not sure of an exact number of my clinicals hours, but we go Mon-Wed for 8 hours, for 9 months, the first 4 month of our program was classroom.
  16. Hi! When I started clinicals the first few weeks were CNA work basically, it's good because you get to familiarize yourself with the setup & where everything is at. I recently started passing meds, insulin shots, accuchecks, & assisting the nurse a lot more instead if CNA work.. I always take my pens, notebook, penlight, scissors, stethoscope, school books(when there's nothing to do, I study) , & a clipboard to carry with me to keep my patients info with me. Good Luck!!
  17. I just finished Pharmacology like 2 wks ago! It was very rough for me as well & we were also doing anywhere from 4-8 chapters per test! Given that we really only have two class days because 3 days out of the week we are at clinicals, so the whole class was so worried because we were basically teaching ourselves! Luckily, our teach would give us a review for the test therefore we knew exactly what to study for the test. As for as knowing side effects & all meds in such a short time I think is impossible! My pharm class was 6 wks!! I would make flash cards a lot & study groups helped a lot! Nurses at the hospital we do our clinicals say they still don't know all the meds & different side effects!!! I think that has def been my hardest subject!!
  18. Wow! That's awesome! Congrats to you! I will be starting my LPN program in January & I am so anxious to start already! I know it's gonna be tough but like you I have my faith in God & in myself. & I have a great support system! :) Good Luck to you & God bless you always!
  19. I used the ATI study guide & McGraw-Hill Nursing book! Both were really good, although i liked the MH book more, i think it explained stuff better! Math def know fractions, & long division & percentage. There are alot of math word problems, nothing too much though, Science was very difficult for me, I recieved the lowest grade in science, there was some Chemistry & I have never taken that class.. Reading was pretty basic & easy, reading comprehension & language arts, if the sentence sounds to correct to you it prob is.. Def purchase a study guide it will help alot & refresh your memory on all 4 subjects! :) Good Luck!
  20. Thnx everyone! The interview was actually pretty basic! Not bad & the interviewer was very laid back so it went by really fast & smooth! She let me know she wanted me in the program within 15 minutes into the interview!!! :) Most questions were yes or no questions & of course the "Why do you want to be a nurse?" & "What does integrity & honesty have to do with the role of nursing?"
  21. I passed my test today after the 2nd time taking it! I'm so excited :) but now the next step for me to get accepted into the LPN program is the nursing interview with the nursing panel.. Can anyone give me any tips or advice for the interiew? Anybody know what kind of questions they ask you & what kind of answers are good to reply with? This will be the last step and will find out the same day of the interview if i get accepted! I'm so happy & praying i get accepted! This will be one step closer to achieve my ultimate goals!!! Thanks in advance, futureLPN11:redpinkhe
  22. Hello Everyone, I really hope I can get some good advice bcz I am very confused! :/ I had decided on going into LPN to get working faster, I am 22 yo married with no kids, my husband recently got a goodnpaying job & wants me to focus on school, my last step for LPN is the Teas test which I have already failed once, I just bought the ATI study guide to study it more & hopefully pass to begin in January, but I've also been coming to the idea of going straight for RN at Rasmussen College, I know it's expensive but my husband & I kind of think it's worth it having that I won't be on a waiting list for so long, I don't mind having debt as long as I get my nursing degree, have any of you attended Rasmussen nursing program, I hear dumped that it isn't accredited but I actually called to the Fl BON today & they confirmed that the program is indeed accredited! I have a nursing session to go to on Friday.. Anyway, what would you do? Any advice is welcomed! Thanks in advance! :)
  23. Thanks HopefulKate! That is my next step! How long did you study for before the test? I did horrible on the science, will they b helpful?
  24. Hello! I'm from Lehigh & I was also trying to get into that same program! @ high tech central right? I ended up deciding to get into iTech, I had to take a different test(the TEAS) :/ I didn't do to good so I am retaking it! I don't of any free Pax study guides but the school recommends this book: http://Www.jblearning.com/catalog/9780763762704 It's suppose to be good but it's expensive on that website, I ordered it through B&N for $26 not bad, I didn't end up using it so I'm returning it! if you need it fast let me know I can sell it to you.. I was planning on returning it, it's brand new! Anyway Good Luck!!! :))
  25. Thanks @ nyanbensmommy1, i have to stay positive if not i know it'll get to my head, i know it's difficult to get into nursing school but it certainly isn't impossible! Thanks for the info, i'm gonna go on & check out some videos!
