Western Governors University (WGU) Readiness Assessment
I did my intake interview today and it looks like I'm set for a May 1 start date! I'm just waiting for the financial aid paperwork to come up for me to sign. My enrollment counselor says it could take between 3-8 days for it to show on the WGU portal. I'm hoping this process goes by smoother than the transcript process. Good luck to everyone on finishing up the process!

Well, looks like they received one of my transcripts. My other school handles transcript requests through National Student Clearinghouse. It was mailed out on 3/18/14 and it does not look like they have received it. Anyone familiar with how National Student Clearinghouse works? I may just end up putting another request in. *sigh*. Still crossing my fingers and trying to remain positive! =)

That's so frustrating. The same thing happened to me. I was told up to 48 hours to process. I ordered them on 3/9 but they did not get mailed until 3/18. I followed up with my enrollment counselor who says it doesn't seem like they have received it yet. I'm hoping it gets there and they process it soon because I'm really aiming for a May 1 start date. *fingers crossed*

Congrats to everyone! I'm still waiting for WGU to review my transcript. It was mailed it out on the 18th, hopefully it's there now. Can anyone tell me what the interview portion is like? My enrollment counselor says it's nothing tedious, but just curious if anyone has any input? Thanks!

WGU, Who else is starting with me
Hi, I haven't started yet but hope to start May 1. I'm currently employed and I know one of the requirements for WGU is to be employed. However, does it matter if you stop working while in school? Does it affect finishing the program? Thanks!

Masters Promissory Note for the financial aid. Still not 100% sure I want it yet, depends on the interest rate they give me =). By any chance does anyone know how working with a preceptor works for the MSN program? I was reading through the program guide trying to figure out how many times we have to work with a preceptor, I only noticed we only have to do it for one class (MSN leadership)?

New Grad RN... work in a SNF?
Hi all, I graduated in December 2011 and passed NCLEX in February 2012. I thought that once NCLEX was out of the way, everything would fall into place. I've been trying to stay positive but I have filled out so many applications and have only received a few rejection e-mails. I'm not sure where to go from here. I have been told to move, which I'm prepared to do, but would rather not do just yet. I have also been told to apply to SNF's. It seems to be that working in a SNF as a New Grad is the kiss of death? Can anyone give me any insight into working at a SNF as a New Grad and how it may affect me getting into the hospital one day? Thanks! :)

Pearsonvue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 3
Took my exam on 2/16 and I'm dying of anticipation. I've been doing the PV trick everyday since and I keep getting the "good pop-up". I wish California had quick results =/. All of my friends keep telling me to go celebrate but it won't feel real to me until I see my name on the CA BRN! Not to mention the BRN is closed on the weekend and yesterday was a holiday. Agghh!

Taking NCLEX in two weeks! But I have acrylic nails...
I wish people would not give me such a hard time about these acrylics =/. I appreciate all the advice and I will be removing them prior to the exam. I am well aware that acrylic nails harbor bacteria (I went to school and heard this the whole time). I decided to get them just because it was graduation and just for FUN! I obviously WILL NOT wear them to a job interview. I know how to look presentable. :uhoh21:
