In the same boat trying to get out of home care just hit a yr in here and see this isn't what I want to do for the rest of my life and they don't offer tuition reimbursement summer is coming hope sure hospitals are probably going to look for new nurses and have positions that are not asking for much exp
  2. i had a similar question to number 3 i fumbled on it as well.they want to hear you say you would contact the MD if your heard crackels because my pt in question was ok and then passed out and i was doing assessing pt, checking monitors , i called other nurse( at the time of interviewi was working at a summer camp at the time and all we had was nurses in the health center) and and interviewer told me " i would of called the MD" and i didnt get the job:( but there are always bumps on the road to success:D
  3. i grad in 2012 only job i got in NYC is a summer camp nursing job which was actually in upstate NY good and fun exp but now after that job just been filling out apps each day ,think your better off in SC/NC my friend who live there say they got jobs for nurses her sister in law gets all the extra shifts she wants down there. you have family down there which is a plus , you can stay at their place until you get financially stable over there
  4. attended LIU wasnt so hard getting in the program with Nursing entry exam but it was kind of hard getting out of there with your sanity intact lol but as long as you can study hard and surround yourself around good people you will get out with Nursing Degree:up: oh yeah make sure your on point with math exams have to get 100% on all med math exams

I worked with them as a CNA during nursing school they found me a job pretty quick in 09 thats the one thing i gave them credit. when i was with them they would send me to nursing home whether they needed a cna or not and some weekends since i was already at the site they would make me sit there until they found out if they needed a cna for the day which went from 10min-3hrs but as i left that agency they were changing management so i think it got better but they should find you a job soon

  12. i worked with them for a year it was an exp im thankful for them for giving my the opportunity to have my first cna job but man their would be times where they wrote me down to work a sunday and then get to nursing home they dont have me down for sun there would be miscommunitcations between them and nursing home worked for them in 09 but maybe they got better ,but i never gave social over phone went to office in person and did that

  16. i thought about looking into long term care as well . my friend works at one and even some hospitals are not recognizing long term care as experience i was very disheartened to hear that
  17. yeah thanks , yeah will definitely look at grammar, funny thing all my English professors tell me how my writing doesn't reflect my speeches and there always thrown back when reading my papers , been trying to work on it will definitely work harder and get others to look at my cover letter and resume

I have been hearing so many times i should and shouldn't put objective on resume, talk to career counselor she told me to take it away. yeah phlebotomy technician certifications it helped big time when giving insulin injections to patients in clinicals . i got certified as patient care technician wasn't sure to put that as well since its was pretty much cna/ekg/phlebotomy and its expired as well. was planning to try to get a job as nurse tech prior to nursing school but those classes and clinicals didnt make that possible. yeah i may switch CNA description i was trying to hard to make it sound impressive thanks will make corrections
