  1. I've been out of school for about two years now and working as an RN in home care for about a year and a half. I want to work in a hospital, but have not been able to get into one. I've applied to many positions and have had some interviews, but all the feedback was the same. They are not interested in hiring someone with no hospital experience. I've tried nursing homes and many other types of places. I even got my license in a neighboring state, hoping that it would help, but it's the same issue. I am currently at a crossroads in what I want to do career wise. Do I keep applying and hope something comes along or do I start looking for a position in a nonclinical setting and if so what are some options? I could really use some advice as to what I should do. I feel stuck working in home care, not that I don't appreciate having a job and feel lucky to have it, but it is also not exactly what I want to be doing. I also, do not feel it offers much in moving up in my career. I want to go back to school eventually and get my masters, but I feel being in home care limits me.
  2. Hello. I have been a nurse for over a year now. I had a tough time finding a job in a hospital when I got out of school. I was offered a position, working as an RN, for the home health company I worked for as an aide. I have been working with them as an RN since September 2013 and it is just not for me. I would love to get into a hospital, so I can continue learning and growing as a nurse. Unfortunately, my current job doesn't provide me with much growth as a nurse. I do not have much clinical experience since I have graduated, so I still have my clinical experience listed from school on my resume. Not sure if I should still have that or delete it from my resume. Also, need advice in general on how I can improve upon my resume. Thanks in advance for any help or tips!
