  12. Well said!!!!! My thoughts exactly!
  13. Wow guys it is really good to hear other moms stories. Glad to know I am not in this alone! Yea my 3year old twins(girls) almost made me cry the other day when they said "mommy I am going to be a nurse like you." Its makes all of this so worth. And you know that whole day I had a smile on my face. God I love those kids. Its hard but I couldnt imagine it any other way. They make life worth while!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Congrats I cant wait until I am there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck!:redbeathe
  15. If you have the help and u dont have these false ideas that it is going to be easy. I say go for it. I have three of my own and I know its going to be hard, but it is worth it in the end! Good Luck!
  16. You are so right and thanks for reminding me of that. I know I am setting a better example for them by going back to school myself... So I know it will work out!
  17. OK thanks that helps alot. I just was afraid that someone who had all the experience would be picked before me.
  18. @Al.Ginger thanks for the encouragement. I wish you the best of luck also!
  19. Yea both of you have a point. I am also minoring in sign language so I have been teaching my kids what I learn. THEY LOVE IT! And it is very overwhelming but hey I guess we are really showing them that hard work and determination does pay off. When they are old enough to understand maybe they will be proud of us!
  20. I will be trying to get into the nursing program soon and I am just curious what all they look for. I do not have the medical experience and I am afraid that this will hinder me when they choose students for the program even though I have the grades. I was thinking of volunteering at different locations. Does anyone else have any suggestions on making myself look better for the program besides the grades?
  21. I am back in school and too excited. On the other hand I have little ones(twin girls 3 and son 1) who I love dearly. I go to school full time and work full time, and sometimes I feel bad because the weekends are my only real time with my kids. I try to make myself feel better by reminding myself that they are young and wont remember mommy was always gone when they were little. I know I am doing this for me and them but it still makes me feel bad sometimes! Is there anyone else who has been in my shoes and how do/did you cope with it?
  22. OMG I was thinking the same thing. I am trying not to let my nerves get to me but who can blame me. If I dont get in I swear I would feel like a failure. I know I have to stop being so hard on myself but everything is running through my mnd. EX. Nursing students who dont have the grades but get in because they know the right people. God that justs reallllllllllllyyyyyyy makes me angry!
  23. Thanks for the information. Ive been doing my research but u know sometimes websites can be a little decieving. I cant wait to get out of Jacksonville!
  24. So I live in Jacksonville, FL and after finishing nursing school I plan on moving to Charlotte, NC. I have family in NC and have travelled back and forth but I am not sure of there hospitals. Do they have alot of nursing opportunities there? I know the average pay is more then Jacksonville. And I am honestly just tired of living here considering I've been here all my life. I really just want a new start. Any suggestions on good locations for nurses and also a great place to raise a family?:redbeathe
