I have heard a lot of crazy things from doctors, I remember one doctor telling me that I needed to write my own orders and not call him ever, that conversation did not end well, I had another doctor ask me why I was calling him when he was not on call and once I told him what I needed he kept repeating why are you calling me like a little child until I ended up hanging up on him lol!

My fave tv nurse was carol from ER. She was what we thought all nurses should be like.

I am a new medsurg nurse of a month n feel overwhelmed also,, always feel like i dont have enough time to do what i need to do, and i dont see how i can learn all the hospital and dr specific things before im on my own in another month, but im gonna hang in there till i hit the one year mark. I am a new med surg grad, and ive been doin it for almost a month...it gets easier as time goes on, when u call a dr have all dhe pts imp info together so if ur callin about removin an iv, check the mar n also ask about switchin any iv drugs to po so u dont have to call twice...

I work at this hosp and got offered an internship. Each dept decides on how long the internship and how much it pays...hope everyone gets the job they want!!!
