New graduate RN jobs outside the hospital?
I just graduated this May. A friend of mine I graduated with actually is working as an immunization coordinator for our county Health Dept. She can wear scrubs or business casual. She has her own office, hours are Mon-Thur 6-4. Off on all holidays and weekends. So they are out there, it's just finding one! Best of Luck!

NCLEX results
I am trying to get my results off the website. Do I just go to pearsonvue.com and go under my account and where right now it is still saying 'exam results not available' in red, will this change to where I can click on it when they are available and I pay the 8 dollars and all that jazz? It's been exactly 48 hours where are my results???? Now I'm really scared!

Two very different labs on calcium which to choose?
I would tell you not to worry about that but I took mine this morning and when it came to labs you would think they would make them way off but in your ABCD you have it narrowed down to say A and B (C and D are just stupid) but the prob is A and B are only one too high or too low... lol I know what I'm trying to say, hope that makes sense

NCLEX is stressing me out
I have studied like crazy went to tutoring, etc... I started the exam this am at 7:45 was out of there by 9:15ish and shut off at 75. I had a million drug questions and priorty, only 2-3 infection control, 2 drag these in order, 2 dosage and calcs, and 3 select all that apply. I didn't think that was sooo bad until I get online and read about how the less SATA questions that you have the worse you are doing b/c you are not up to NCLEX 'standard' but yet they keep asking me about drugs that I swear do NOT exist! I need someone to tell me to stop crying, freaking out, pulling my hair out, etc... that passed with 75qs and very FEW SATA. I'm all discouraged, I was under the impression cutting off at 75 was a good thing, I was very much mistaken!

Nervous- needing advice!
I am in my second semester Junior year in the BSN nursing program. I am in my second semester of clinicals. I have done med/sug, OB, and currently am in Psych. At our local Medical Center I have been hired on as Nurse Tech I on the Pediatrics floor, here that just means you are in school and working through clinicals. I have never been so nervous in my life! My biggest concerns are the parents of these children. Of course they are going to be protective of thier children but it's going to be hard on me when the parents ask me questions I'm not sure of or if they snap at me for some reason. I also am worried about the nurses. I had a bad experience my first semester with the nurses but my last rotation went great. Any of you that are currently nurses on any floor may know what I am talking about. When you first started how did you get rid of the feelings of 'being in the way' or feeling intimidated by the other nurses??? I think I just need some encouragement. :chair:

Confused about NCLEX
I'm about 6 semesters away from the NCLEX but I've been reading as much on this site as possible and when I read this section I became a little confused.. What is this thing about the test shutting off after 75 questions? Why is it a good thing that the test shuts off after 75 questions? ---Curious Curious

Ob Nursing Question
This fall I will be in my 3rd semester as a pre-nursing student for an RN. The way I am leaning is towards delivery nurse. I was told by this girl yesterday that you have to have another degree (other than your RN liscense) in order to work in the labor unit (note: I'm not doing NICU.) I was wondering if that was true because at school they don't ask us what unit we are specializing in. When declaring the unit do I refer to it as Ob-nurse.. Maternity nurse.. delivery nurse.. etc ??
