New Grad NP - which job would you take?
I agree with above. Take the position where you interact with other co workers. CVS you are by yourself and limited to certain things you see. More experience with urgent care!

New and innovative FNP jobs?
Hi Guys, Those that are NPs.... anyone really enjoy their work schedule, atmosphere and really feel like they are making a difference with less charting and medical codes to put in. I really want to pursue Mission Trips and have a flexible work schedule and not stress about the NP position itself. I hope to do more preventative medicine and see people really change their bad habits. Feels like I am all over the place. But I love just about everything. I need a change and want to hear from all of you and what makes you work as an NP. I just do not want to be in it for the money. I love teaching and educating people also. Those that are in legalized medical marijuana states, what is the next best career for that? Any cool conferences you attended? Just wondered if there are fun job opportunities for FNPs specifically. Any new and cool fields of work to go into. Anything that really works with a family and kids? Any input is appreciated. Thanks so much!

I worked full time and did research and ap1. Then other half of research I had ap2. It was doable but yes the papers were a lot. I am glad it is over. Taking pharmacology now so much easier. The papers you get used to the work. You will pass! Good luck!

South University MSN programs
The program is self study. I am taking pharmacology now. It is doable with full time work if you have no kids. I doubled up on my classes till pharm. If you want to double tell your advisor. Pharmacology is taken by itself for 11 weeks and the rest of classes after it. So far so good!

South university online graduate school of nursing (msn family nurse practitioner)
If you are enrolled in South's program for MSN. You can double up on classes up till NP 2. It is doable a long as you keep up with the assignments. It is mostly papers and discussion boards. Once or twice in a class there is an exam. Good luck!

Hey Rod Male Nurse BSN, I am in NP 2 and Research. Boy am I procrastinating on my papers. I cannot wait for papers to be over with. Did you take pharmacology by itself? I think my advisor said it has be to by itself before you enter Health Assessment with clinical. How do you find a preceptor? I work in a hospital, do I just call a doctor's office and ask directly? Is there any paper work involved? I cannot wait to be working hands on with the patients. So clinical are just one by one till we graduate right? Are you done the program yet? Good luck with boards!

Thanks guys! I am in the NP program now and want to get a head start on exam materials. Any you recommend? Or websites will be helpful. I remember with NCLEX I had tons of study materials and offered my assistance to others. Now I am in the dark again and I do not know where to begin studying. I am in school for FNP. Good luck to those taking the exam! I hope to be in that position someday.

South University FNP MSN program???
The classes are doable.. It is set up in a way you can log anytime as long as you submit the assignments by the due date. FYI the class is self study. There are no powerpoint or notes the professors give you. If you are a person that learns themselves this is a good program. The textbooks are all digital and you do not have to purchase them. Free via South digital bookshelf. If you want to buy or rent the books you can. I did with my patho book because I need to actually hold a textbook, its up to you. The admissions team is very helpful. You can call them anytime and also IT support. They give you Miscrosoft for free also since I did not have it with my Macbook. You need it for powerpoint and writing papers. All the papers that are submitted is thru Turnitin and should be formatted in apa format. Grading wise- the professors seem to give mostly full points as long as you look at the rubric and accomplish everything on it. So far I have an A. I chose South because of the flexibility and back to back classes. Also the tuition is much less than other school. Total was 33,000 I think when I calculated. I also want to finish as soon as I can. You can double up but you have to tell your academic advisor. They will tell you they do not recommend it but tell them you still want to. I did it and I am working full time. Good luck!

South university online graduate school of nursing (msn family nurse practitioner)
Anyone starting Next week>? I am!!!. Super excited and freaking out. I want to be an FNP so badly. So over bedside nursing. Also plan on starting a family soon so I want to be over with the majority of classes before. Any advice? I work full time but no kids yet, so I figured I can double up. Online classes never bothered me. I always did well in them. Hopefully I can remember my APA paper formatting. Been 2 years since I did my BSN. Good Luck everyone!!!. Feel free to add me if you guys are in the same cohort!...

Masters in Informatics and Job help?
Hello Everyone! I need to start my masters at the end of this year. I am contemplating on getting my NP in Family or go for my Informatics Nursing. Can someone please explain to me who is working as an informatics nurse how your typical day is? What does your job entail? Do you enjoy it? Is it flexible for having little kids? Is there any work from home options? I am computer savvy and a young nurse. How is the job outlook? Where and what exactly is the position title for a person with a degree in informatics. Anyone have any online cheap school they recommend that is accredited? Thanks so much! Any good websites or reading material that would help me in my research will be good too. Sorry for the many questions!
