  1. Hadi1515- Did you need a co-signer? With your pre-regs accounted for, how much is the program? You and I were on the same boat. I tried CC as well and no luck. My gpa is average and not competitive enough for a point system and no luck with the lottery system either. I am starting this October. Why Oct? They came out with a new policy; for every non science class their were no expiration dates. It used to be that every class had a 5 year expiration date. Now its just for the science course. This will help bring down the cost. =] Any advice for a single mom of a 2 year old boy. Please feel free, I will need it!
  2. I thought about applying to this school also and still thinking about it. 100k is a lot of money and you should take your time in making a decision like this. I was suppose to start lat April but I am giving it until September to see if they get WASC accredited. If they do I will probably have to go for it due to the highly impacted community college. Update us on your decision. =]
  3. For those of you who are now attending WCU, did you need a co-signer?
  4. What state is this school located? Im from Cali looking to get into a program out of here since it is too saturated! Thanks in advance.
  5. oh yes. another question... how long have you guys been trying or going to try?? I am starting to get a bit discouraged.
  6. Anyone get in? I didn't either... where are the people who get in? Well I guess I will try again this August. For those who have applied more than once. Is there any way we can use the same transcripts?? Or do we have to send new once? Call me cheap but each transcript cost $5. I have attend 2 schools and applying to many programs so it does add up.
  7. Anyone get in this Fall??
  8. Just a personal question for those who are enrolled in WCU... How are you guys planning on paying the 100k+ loans. I am trying to convince myself and thought about starting this past April but I could hardly sleep after I met with the fin aid advisor. Please enlighten me, what are your thoughts....
  9. Don't take Version V lightly. Yes it is a lower passing rate but much harder test. To weed out students I guess since this field is so saturated. Good Luck to all of you planning on taking it.... Study, study, study! Update us on your progress!
  10. smooshcrickets- Any news from the school?? The only thing stopping me is the co-signer in which I don't have. =[ Please update us on your progress with the school...
  11. hnguyen509 and SugarNSass- This filling period is for Fall2011 and Spring2012. I also was denied this time around. But there's other schools and there is more deadlines. STAY POSITIVE for those of you who have been denied.
  12. CONGRATS to everyone who got in! As for me.... I am freakin out!! I still havent gotten my letter.
  13. Ciela 2009- I tried to apply for Grossmont last month but the werent accepting apps... did I miss the deadline?? For Palomar the deadline I is Oct this year... Which deadline did you apply for?? ah! I hope not!
  14. futurenurse310- Sorry for the reminder.... but good luck to you!! =] Ciela 2009- Which other schools have you applied to?? I have applied to NU, Cerritos, COD, Mira Costa, West Coast Univeristy and waiting to apply to Palomar, Grossmont, City, and I think thats it. I live in Temecula so most the schools are south.
  15. This is so nerve-racking!!!! I can't help but think negative. What if I don't get in. I don't have much luck, I mean what are the chances of my name getting picked from 400 or is it 500 students. ugh!!!!
  16. nomsa- where are you applying now?? I can totally relate to you with WCU. But I do have to say, I'm still keeping them an option in case I don't get in anywhere else. If I don't get in a program in 2 years I have already lost 110k (which is also my tuition) and more and still not making any money at that.
  17. Malefocker- Thanks for your input. Good Luck on the getting accepted!!
  18. Good Luck everyone!
  19. I can not afford it. I don't think any of the students there can since most require a co-signer for the second loan. Its just crazy what some people would do to get in a nursing program now a days. People including myself, because I am considering it after this year if I don't get in anywhere else and IF they get there WASC accreditation in Sept.
  20. where do you guys stay? I live in Temecula so it will be a commute for me. Then again anywhere from Temecula will be a commute. E2NURSE- What is transition? I believe I applied to the regular program. Perris StudentRN- I applied to Cerritos, Grossmont, COD, Mira Costa and I am waiting for the deadlines for City College, Mt. SAC, and Palomar. I don't know what I will do if I don't get in this time around. I am also contemplating WEST COAT UNIVERSITY. Any advice or comments about this school is welcome.
  21. I applied also... Do you guys know when we will be hearing back? 4-6 weeks is what I hear....
  22. lol! Thanks for clearing that up. Good Luck to you all!
  23. There aren't many students that reply to COD (from what I have noticed.) That could be a bad/good thing.... where else did you apply?? I live in Temecula so it will be a commute for me. I applied to schools around (north, south, east) with an hour commute. The end of May is so long from now... crossing our fingers for the both of us.
  24. This is great! Congratulations!!! So where did you get your RN and your 1 year of experience? Now a days its just so hard to find a job. (from what I'm reading on here)... Please advise how you got to where you are. Might take it as an option for myself.
  25. Other than tuition another down fall is that they are NOT WASC accredited. If this is important to you then look into Master programs that you are interested and verify if they accept credits from WCU. (I rec you get this in writing.) I thought about attending this April but I agree with mjgarcia the tuition made me sick to my stomach. I thought it through for 2 weeks and decided to pull back. Right now this is not the route I would take. This is just me but I will wait for the WASC accreditation to go through mean while applying to other schools. Until that happens WCU will be my last resort. =]
