I have a few friends that couldn't pass the NCLEX and went on to new careers.

I failed the nclex 2 times. I don't feel I will ever pass. The test is extremely hard...

Hospitals and nursing homes now want experienced nurses. It is difficult to get experience if they don't want to hire new nurses. A few people did not pass the nclex.

Wow darien!!!! That is really really really great and very surprising. Unfortunately everyone I know were not as fortunate. It has been a couple of years since we graduated and 3 of my friends are waitresses now. One of my friends just got a job at the casino. One of my friends is a realtor. I am currently working in car sales.

We graduated in dec. 2010 from wcccd nursing program and we still do not have nursing jobs. Make sure you are financially stable too. Thank god our husbands have jobs. Good luck everyone.

Basically all the hospitals want you to have your bsn and 2 years experience or a minimum of 1 year.

May not get a job after school. Good luck

I have two male neighbors that graduated from nursing school in the past year. They are 45 and 47 years old. They have had no job offers as of yet.

sshcnurse, Congratulations!!! I do not have allgebra and chemistry. I do have microbiology, anatomy 1 and 2, and patho. Do you feel Thomas Edison school will want me to take additional classes or just the 8 upper division classes. Thank you for any information.

Wow!!! It is extremely tough getting an RN job after you finish school... We graduated Dec. 2010 and still do not have jobs.. Be prepared financially.

Westieluv, I received my RN license Dec. 2010. I have many friends that have also graduated from Dec. 2010 - May 2011... None of us have received job offers.
