  3. I can relate. I used to work as a nursing assistant and obese people that cannot move makes me cringe because getting help to change her takes a long time. The worst is that the patient doesn't even want us to change her.

For memorial hospital of gardena, I believe there were 3 (med/surg), 2 telemetry. For huntington Park, 3 (ER), 2 (telemetry). I am currently working at Coast plaza hospital.
  6. "I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It's all due to nursing. They trained you to be OCD."
  7. Doctor ordered to force fluid to patient in room 1-1. Is this enough?
  8. It's starting :). Anyone feeling nervous?
  9. I will be working at Coast Plaza hospital :)
  10. Hmm. For next week, I have orientation for Monday , Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
  11. I graduated in May 2012. It took me a year and one month until i got a job offer on a med/surg unit. I was getting extremely frustrated.
  12. I think it's a one year contract because I got the paper that said that when I filled out the application.
  13. Is the pay rate starting at $22/hr and going to $28/hr? Did you guys get that information during the phone call with the job offer?
  14. No i guess I didn't ask what shift it would be. I just assumed it would be day shift. Because during the interview, the lady asked in my ideal world what shift would I like to work and I said day shift. Haha I don't really care what shift. I am just happy to be employed.
  15. You know I am not sure if the hospital that I will be working at is at Coast Plaza because I didn't ask. I went for the interview at Coast Plaza. I know I will be working in Med/Surg floor.

  17. I just called and talked to a human resource personnel at coast plaza hospital and she said that they are still getting the schedule from employee Health Nurse so once they have that set up then they will contact us.
  18. I wonder if I should call the recruiter as a followup to the preemployment process. What do you all think?
  19. Thanks everyone I will go hunt for an RN job. Hopefully I will be successful :).
  20. I am a new graduate RN. I graduated over a year ago. I was hired as a superuser to work for UCLA for only 3 months. After that position ended, I got an interview at UCLA because it was for internals only. However i did not land an RN job. Now there is another superuser position that will last until april 2014. I don't know if I should go for that position or just go look for an RN position at any place including skilled nursing facility. I really want RN work experience. I don't want it to be two years later and I still can't get experience as an RN. I need advice. Please help. My boyfriend said I should give up on chasing after UCLA and go get RN work experience otherwise it would look bad to other companies that I am only chasing after UCLA. I don't want my RN career to go down the drain. What do you think?

  22. For all the ones who got rejected, do you think it's a good idea to become a superuser again for the ambulatory superuser position? Will this screwed me up? The job will last till april 2014. I graduated a year ago. I am worried. Is it better just to go find an RN job in a skilled nursing facility?
  23. Sorry everyone I became bitter.
  24. What a wasted 3 months. I guess it's time to find any nursing job.
  25. I received a rejection letter. I feel so sad.
