  1. Apply as a transfer student to pre-nursing, and complete the intent to register. Then apply to the RN program. Withdraw from the schools that you don't want to go to once you get accepted to your top choice program. Be sure acceptance is final before you withdraw, because if things go awry, you'll still have a backup.
  2. grades need to be posted for all of the science pre-reqs before the admission due date. They won't make exceptions.
  3. It's a BS so BSN not BA These PREREQUISITE COURSES AND COURSE EQUIVALENCIES All prerequisite courses taken at campuses other than CSUEB must be approved as equivalent prior to submitting your Supplemental Application. A Course Equivalency Chart is available so you can compare courses. Candidates can also check on Welcome to ASSIST for course equivalencies to other California public colleges. Contact the Department (510-885-3481) for information on equivalency evaluation of courses from international universities, out-of-state campuses, or California universities not listed on the Equivalency Chart. Human Anatomy/Physiology I (BIOL 2010, 5 units) Human Anatomy/Physiology II (BIOL 2020, 5 units) Introduction to Microbiology (BIOL 2025, 5 units) Inorganic Chemistry (CHEM 1601, 4 units) OR Organic Biochemistry (CHEM 1602, 4 units) OR INTEGRATED Chemistry Class Written Communication (ENGL 1001, 4 units), GE Area A2 Oral Communication (COMM 1004 or 1000, 4 units), GE Area A1 Statistics (STAT 1000, 5 units), GE Area B4 Critical Thinking (4 units), GE Area A3 from here: Fall Admission 6 of them These: http://www20.csueastbay.edu/csci/departments/nursing/files/docs/5yr-roadmap.pdf None, admission requires these classes. DUE BY NOVEMBER 30th: APPLICATION(S) from: Fall Admission Also: All of these questions were answered on the CSUEB's nursing site, the first result on google. If you're unable to work these out on your own, you'll have a VERY hard time in the nursing program! Either way good luck, and don't necrobump threads, create your own... Please and Thankyou
  4. Definitely, you should just quit! No, I'm kidding of course. I had something similar happen as well. When it did I was more afraid I'd get kicked out, never thought about quitting. It hurts like hell either way, and there's nothing you can do about it... Other than get over it. I'd also be quicker to believe that the only one who won't let you get past it is yourself and much less everyone else. Your manager ****** up and everyone knows it. I strongly doubt that anyone is treating you differently. If they are it's probably more sorrow for you, after watching you boss rip into you like that. The question is what do you WANT to do now? Do you really want to quit? Maybe just transfer to a different unit/floor? Or are you mostly happy where you are now? Sorry V, it's not fair. But you'll be fine as soon as you let yourself breathe again...
  5. I'm confused, how is this bad again? Spidey's mom's 8th grader isn't compliant and shouldn't get physician approval. I don't understand this one as well. Pts can self administer, parents can as well. Why does anyone think this alters nursing scope of practice at all? I'd also like to contend that they didn't rule against school nurses, but instead for school admins/students?
  6. D. All of the above. (I assume you're an incoming student.)
  7. get a GOOD hands free device, it will take some of the stress out of your voice and make you easier to talk to making the interview go better. And if it runs really long you'll be comfortable.
  8. Sounds like she doesn't trust you, that's dangerous to a relationship. If your RN school is still a year away and she's already worried about you meeting someone else, that's not jealousy that's crazy. It also might help to not refer to them as beautiful, seeing as how you have no idea who they are, or what they look like yet.
  9. how about CYA? Math is a science right? Scientific backing to this policy (as OP requested) Time taken to wash hands (after doing nothing, for no real reason) 2 minutes-ish (3 if you do a really good job) * number of times you'll have to do this per shift 24 (twice an hour on a 12 hour shift) = Total time spent 48-72 minutes Is less then Time spent in a law suit for "complications due to surgery" = The rest of your life.
  10. No, that I understand... nevermind new question. Is this nurse going to be the one to notify the partners? Or is that someone else's job?
  11. Sorry, what I meant was, is it more important for the nurse to notify the partners or treat the pt?
  12. I'm still pre-nursing but is the first priority of the nurse to the pt or to the community?
  13. I was just told that RN classes amount to 3, 5-credit classes. Anyone find this to be true?
  14. don't forget to study, you'll be fine. What school are you in?
  15. I'm taking that exact same course load right now. Its not that bad, 1/2 done right now w/ an A in both (barely). 88% in speech w/ ec waiting for me so I think I'll pull an A there too. It's not that bad it's hard for sure but not impossible. Is this next semester?
