Have you tried MCI...it's accelerated and only months....I'm doing it now...going LPN to RN

Yea, they don't need the whole thing...they just need the (usually) the front sheet with the date and time....It's no ones business what it is for...good luck

A lot of times when they contact your current employer and past employers, they are just asking are you in good standings. They also ask if you can be rehired with your past employers.... You have not worked that much in health care, so IMO you need to show that you have held a job within the nursing field. Plus you are per diem...I held 3 diff per diem positions at one time and none of them had a problem

L&D is pretty hard to get into. Pediatrics is med surg just with little people. but like the others said...there is a chance you may have to take what you can get. Fresh grads have a hard time getting jobs now days. Patients are patients...you have to do the same amount of work with all of them

there are some nurses that are far from nice to one another....get se to it!...this is how it is. i have run into many nasty nurses...cut throat heffas that think they run the place...that's how they are...but you area student nurse...so all you need to do is maintain your professional stature...because you may end up working at any of these facilities....keep in mind that these are seasoned nurses and there are prob. a lot of things that she can teach you. now as for them "bitter dried up nurses that need to retire".....no one wants to be admitted into a facility that has just all new nurses...that would be a disaster...lol....there's nothing worse than a brand new nurse that thinks she knows everything also....you need the old as well as the new...i hope they have good bed side manners

I have a friend that I worked with and she only had 3 fingers on each hand....she is now a RN and has no problems...maybe you can learn to use your other hand for IV's and caths

You'll have to get out of that. You have to do patient teaching, admissions, talk with the family....sometimes patients need someone just to talk to. Being shy isn't a option. I use to be shy too, but then I snapped out of it....now I make my presence known.....lol

I go to MCI and it's like this.....don't expect to be able to pull those kinds of hours and go to school also....it is very accelerated and the lowest grade you can get is a 80.....anything below that is a F...I just finished first mod....we started with 21 and are down to around 11.....you will eat sleep and breath nursing....if you are ready for that then you are good
